  1. FYP TBF, only Jose Enrique and Andy Carroll are irreplaceable, the rest of them can go at the right price. Obviously there are some you'd like to keep but for example rumours suggest Liverpool are after Jonas for £8m... ..who wouldn't take that? Now could be a good time for a fire-sale. Shake your heed man, we wouldn't be where we are without these players they have got us here not ashley or pardrew. We have a super thin squad and people are happy to see ?millions feed into ashley and not the squad from outgoing sales Do you think we will spend 50% of the money we get from sales ? Same players who took us down as well. They weren't good enough then and aren't now if were honest and why people fear relegation again. Getting Barton off the wage bill isn't top priority for me, like I said Smith needs to be first out of the door, but there are players on our books who's wages don't match their ability, Barton is one of them. Bollocks. Alot of the players WERE good enough. We had better players than most of the teams around us. There are a number of reasons we went down. 1) Barton was injured for most of the season. 2) Colocinni was in his first year of English football and it took him at least half a season to adapt. 3) Him, and Bassong, both capable Premier League defenders werent helped by the fact we had a slow off the pace centre of midfield who couldnt attack and couldn't help the defence. 4) We had a number of players who werent interested enough, but thankfully they left in the summer. 5) The team had no leadership and was a shambles with managers who werent up to the job. Shearer and Kinnear especially. 6) Ashley left us managerless for about 8 of those games through the season. 7) Our squad was totally unbalanced with good players in most areas, but terrible players in the centre of midfield. If you're trying to say the reason we went down was just because the players werent good enough, then thats wrong. A number of things came together which saw us missing out on staying up by ONE point. I wasn't. End of conversation. Saying "The same players took us down. They werent good enough then and arent good enough now" suggests otherwise. If you didn't mean that, I suggest you word your posts better.

    It has to be said...

    Take the blinkers off!
  4. J7

    £10 million?

He'll probably be given shitloads, spend it on shite, then get sacked when it makes us worse. Souness.
  5. The fact is we have bottling bastards in our squad already. I'll be interested to see how the new man handles them. I know you're only fishing, but we certainly don't have any bottlers, not compared to the other 19 clubs.

    Alan Pardew

Just been watching SSN. David Craig seems to think it will be unfortunate if fans start demonstrating and make their feelings known about this, as its a kneejerk reaction.

    Alan Pardew

Its like when Bobby built a team, and Souness got the £50million to spend, then everyone else following him got fuck all.

    Current Team

Yeah, he summed it up perfectly.

    Alan Pardew

Why not? Me either, the same thing happens whenever there's a decision that the N-O board doesn't appreciate, the sky falls in but lo and behold, when the protests and outrage fail to materialise, people on here seem stunned. Pardew will come out, there'll be a mix, if not muted, reaction and life will go on. Welcome to NUFC. I honestly don't think it will be as muted this time. I think this is the final straw for many. People have thresholds - even devote fans. This is a step too far, even for that fat c***. Even if there is no protest I can certainly see attendences dropping. Something tells me that even 'Pards' won't be able to produce the sort of football worth paying for. Hi, September 2008 wants it's anger back I don't think your opinion is worth much really. You have admitted yourself that Pardew is unknown to you. Your football knowledge must be fuckin shocking.

    I'd rather Tisdale tbh.

    Alan Pardew

How does he get into the ground? He's at the away games too and nobody ever seems to notice him going in. Eggs or darts from Milburn level 7 might be a good idea.
  12. Certainly in my lifetime. If there was anyone worse before I was born, I would love to know who he was.
  13. I think you're correct, but can't see it happening. Man Utd fans made much more of an impression standing outside Rooneys house the other month than we ever did when we had old women on tele telling the world their life was over because Keegan left. We protest for a day, keep it lawful, and it drifts away to nothingness.
  14. I can't think of anything else that will work. Infact I don't think anything will work. Ashley being assaulted or attacked would make me feel better though.

    Alan Pardew

If its Pardew he will be getting no support from me. Just like Souness, we won't be able to move foward until he leaves. The question would be how much damage he does before he leaves. If Pardew thinks he's unpopular now, wait until he comes here!
  16. The Mirror article is probably correct tbh. There are a few times we have layed into the media on here during the Ashley era, and most of the time they turn out to be 100% correct. It's truely depressing stuff. Its a bit like Hearts, but more dangerous as its harder for Hearts to get relegated.

    Paul Barron

Very highly rated. Will be a massive miss.
  18. They talked total sense though, unlike most people usually interviewed there.
  19. Don't think .com or that True Faith thing from Binnsy get anywhere near the anger I feel tonight. Im absolutly disgusted with Ashley and Llambais. We've just sacked a man who basically dragged this club up from an absolute shambles, for £300k a year. We were basically a club with no management from the top, unwanted and left to rot when Hughton dragged us up from nothing, creating a great team spirit and defying all odds to achieve promotion. Since promotion we've seen wins at Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea, beat Villa 6-0 and the mackems 5-1. A few injuries/suspensions, and one or two poor results and Ashley has sacked him. It's fuckin disgusting treatment of a man, who in my opinion saved this club. Never been so annoyed about football!
  20. I like the Boyd would get 45 goals in the Championship bit!
