No, we sign players to get us promoted, then we worry about the Premier League.
-
Its not a sad state of affairs that he would improve our side atall. Its a sad state of affairs that we got relegated. I said at the time, we can't be arrogant in who we go for. Go for players who will get us out of this league. So fuck if he's not a 'name', if he will do a job, get him!

Ashame Beyes away. Haha
-
Carlisle away please.
-
Him that supports us has just come on for Norway.
-
Scotland getting ripped appart. 2-0. The Caldwells are shite.
-
How can nothing be happening, either we are going to be taken over or we will get a new manager. Well, he said 'no news' rather than nothing happening. Cards close to chest and all that shite.
-
Just said nothing is happening, but things change on a daily basis concerning Newcastle United. Mentioned how 'you have to feel sorry for Hughton'.

I agree SuperToon. I was speaking to someone yesterday and we were talking about Ashleys intentions. I'm coming round to the opinion that he never intended to sell and this has all been a smokescreen so he didn't have to spend any money. His value might have been deliberatly unrealistic to put off bidders. The only thing against this idea I can think of is that he's still been paying players and didn't sell players earlier in the window.

IF its only £10 million difference between Ashley and Moat, surely there would be someone who could stump up that to have a say at boardroom level. Obviously nobody buying wants Ashley yo be taking the piss, but 10mil ffs!
-
Surely he cant seriously be thinking about coming on Saturday! Its like Ashley is rubbing our noses in shit.
-
I like it now. Getting it after transfer deadline so I know whos staying to get a name on the back.

Wouldn't surprise me Lenny. Its well known in the media that we are all the thickest fans who only like Shearer and Keegan, whereas Spurs and Liverpool fans are 'the most knowledgable' fans in the country. Its all bollocks of course, but we love being told what we think and what we know.
-
Na, wouldnt know what he looked like either.
-
It's a joke, we're like a listed building on the verge of falling down without the neccesary repair work, with the owner wanting to hang on another year in case the price of bricks gets cheaper Couldnt have put it better.

How long do we have to wait until we start being a normal club again. Can this cunt not fuck off. If he waits until next summer, that will be nearly 2 years of the club just muddling through with no plan. Total disaster.

Two loan signings from Spurs is hardly a 'foray into the transfer market'.
-
Nah, we didn't. We were dreadful - we literally had no structure what-so-ever. Our best two Strikers were Ryan and Steven Taylor, while Nolan was fairly none-existant and Shola and Caroll did his work for him dropping into midfield. Duff, Smith, 3 out of our back four and Krul were the ones to come out of it with a bit of credibility. On a scale of Incredibly s*** to incredibly good, we were neither. I thought we played pretty well considering we were playing promotion contenders, away from home, with a depleted squad from one that was already thin and with no manager and obviously all the other s*** thats going on. In fact, even without all that I still think we played well. Bossed it. Tbf, I have probably just woke up to the s*** we played last season, Saturday was just like last season but our club is in a far worse state. So given the circumstances I can see where y'all coming from. However, on the other side of the coin, people think that because we're in a worse division and playing promotion favourites that the same s*** from last season is more acceptable, when it quite simply isn't... I thought we were good on Saturday. Certainly bossed the game but lack quality in certain areas. I actually thought Nolan was fairly decent, and im not a fan of him. We have to play with what we have at the moment really and the players who didnt have good games, its because they're shit rather than lack of effort. (Raylor, Colo and Ameobi) Thats not going to change until we bring in new faces. The only strange decision for me was to play Duff on the right and Jonas on the left.

Hardly a kung fu kick. Haha. And that racially abusing thing was bollocks. He's got a short fuse and he can be stupid sometimes, but that's about it. Since he's been here anyway. Had he did the tackle Guthrie did against Hull imagine the reaction.
-
I would have Geremi at right back as long as he was kept well away from set pieces.
-
I'm pleased we have someone like him at the club. Not the greatest of players but he fuckin cares about the club.
-
On the other hand, Kadar seems good and at least we have a central midfielder in Barton who works hard and creates things. Could do with a goalscorer though.
-
I would be wary of anyone who can't afford to pay for the whole thing now. If someone can only afford the 20mil now, then next year they're surely going to struggle to pay the rest. Even if we were promoted, an 80mil payment would drain the club of cash and would prevent us adding anything decent to the squad. Unless whoevers buying is thinking short term and wants to sell when Premiership status is returned. Then they could pay back Ashley and make a little profit for themselves. Massive gamble though.
-
Not a good story in the Journal. At least we know now there has been at least one realistic offer on the table, and unfortunatly like in the winter Ashley is stupidly trying to play hardball and ask for more than the value. Pure stupidity as the value will only go down from now on.

What does that say? Can't follow links on phone.
