    Current Team

Don't know about everyone else, but this is the most I've liked a Newcastle team I can remember. And that's from starting supporting them when I was 6 in 1990. We've probably had better teams, but for me, this is the team ive been most excited about, the team I'm most proud of. Throw most of the current team in some of our past teams an they would probably be my favorite player. Just love seeing this team do well and succeed. It seems to mean so much more than it did 5 years ago, the way they've developed since relegation and the togetherness. Its great to see. I'm even learning to love Shola now!!! Its just great to support Newcastle at the moment! I've slavered a bit, and I'm 27 and going on about favorite players an shit, but I'm so proud of our team at the moment, even before Sunday. Plus, I was at the game, but when I watched the highlights it was fuckin brilliant to hear the Sky mics struggle to cope with the noise of the crowd. Fuckin class!!!

    Sunderland...

Hilarious reading the player for player thread on RTG! And they call US deluded! Pissing myself reading them rate Titus fuckin Bramble ahead of Coloccini. Can't make up my mind whether they actually believe it, or have just worked themselves up into a frenzy leading them to spout any old shite.
  3. I'm all for the unconditional support, but some third rate journalist is the last thing on my mind. More interested in Tiote or Barton studding Cattermole in the face tbh.
  4. Really! Not even the run to the 7th place under Roeder when we had a very impressive end of season form. That wasn't as clear cut in quality as our quality this time has been. Our run to 7th was partly down to Bolton f***ing up too. Yep. It was largely the effect of there being no Souness, injuries starting to clear up, Bolton f***ing up, and us playing quite a few disinterested teams who had little to play for (and that s*** Chelsea side on the final day). Nah, remember, we were all texting Freddy telling him to appoint Roeder full time. We were fuckin loving it back then!

It probably will be for the reason you've mentioned. Well thats a bit shit! I want to pin the blame on Ashley!

I can hardly use the internet in the stadium on my Blackberry. I just assumed it was because so many people were trying to get on the internet at the same time.

Can't cost that much to hire a helicoptor and throw paint out onto it. They would probably clear it up, but it would still be quite funny, especially if it was the night before a game or something.
  8. We would have won the game had Perch not played. That said it was a poor performance. Alot is made about the creativity, but alot of blame has to go to the strikers. Their movement is shocking. The midfield end up fucking about with it as nobody makes a decent run. It improved slightly when Shola came on, but was still really poor. When Barton did manage to play Carroll in with a nice little lobbed pass, he fucked it up.

I remember first time I went to Bolton being so depressed that every single thing had a sponsors logo on it. Even their stand opposite the main stand, named after one of their legends had a sponsors name attached to it.
  10. Wondered why there wasnt a thread on Liverpool considering their plight. Can't say I have much sympathy considering the way everyone went on when we were relegated. Fuck them I say.

    De Jong

Yeah, true, it could potentially ruin the game...but then I would argue that the conduct of the likes of De Jong and his cynical, dangerous style of "play" is putting the future of the game into just as much jeopardy. If Ben Arfa doesn't recover from this, we'll all have been deprived of watching a potentially great talent blossom in a way which would have brought flair and colour and passion to the game. Meanwhile, we all get to endure the turgid, reckless, soul-crushingly awful butchery of the likes of De Jong getting away with it, week after week. I agree, but the way to do it is through harsher penalties in the game, not through the law courts.

    De Jong

If we're treating it as a crime, how far do we go. Any player that gets any injury through a bad tackle gets taken through the courts. It would ruin the game! The footballing laws should be tightend and players should be punished by the FA. I'm as upset and annoyed as anyone about Ben Arfa and that fuckin cunt de Jong.

    De Jong

Would never want to involve the police like. Glad we are complaining to the FA, but it should be the footballing authorities dealing with it, not the police.
  14. That was a shocking performance by the ref today. Worse than any of the ridiculous referees in the Championship last season, and thats saying something..
  15. Can the club put in an official complaint about the officials today. It was an absolute disgrace.
  16. Good performance but disappointing result. Play like we did today and against Everton and we will be fine. The problem is cutting out performances like the Stoke one.
  17. What's wrong with his passing decisions. Ridiculous comment. He hardly gives the ball away!

    Sunderland...

Oh well, looks like ill be drinking earlier in the day. Loads of trouble late afternoon no doubt now.
  19. It hasn't been the same since the L7 corner changes. I only really look forward to away games now whereas last season I loved them all. It was dreadful where I was sitting on Sunday. All season ticket holders who knew each other. Everyone just sat there, no singing, they all knew each other and the only time a beep came out of them beyond 'in talk' was a ridiculous rant about for example how Carroll is never a footballer. It was seriously depressing considering the price.
  20. It wasn't just because it was free. Being on the tele alone has an effect.
  21. I ended up going myself on Suday because the others I go with knew it was on Sky and stayed at home. It does have an effect.
  22. It was 6 mins anyway, then we had a sub, the Ferguson injury, AND the pitch invader. Ha. Could have been more. Chelsea looked bust by then anyway. All the effort in dragging it back with 10, only for another thunderbolt to the heart with the Shola header. Absolutly brilliant moment.
