  1. Showed we've got competent cover for Tiote. Nothing more, nothing less.
  2. Always plays his best games when used that twenty yards further forward like he was tonight wen he first came on.

"Credit Pardew for pulling him off" - Get your heed oot your arse man. How's about trying to get the best out of arguably our most creative player. How's about setting the team up so that when he receives the ball, trying to beat the two men marking him is not his only option. Aye, credit Pardew :idiot2:
  4. Joe, have you got a personal message to the Newcastle fans - "yes, they're talking a load of tosh...., I'm more intelligent than them....."

    Alan Pardew

How man, there is a huge difference between playing a tactically intelligent game, with controlled possession, not getting caught on the counter attack and that complete dross that was served up in the first half.

Thought when we got at them, in the first game and tonight, they looked very average. Lets not make them out to be something they're not. We were at home, a European night at St James' and the first hour was just Meh! What a wasted opportunity.
  7. Villa were woeful first half; allowed us to control the midfield and dominate from there. As expected, they made changes to rectify that and regained control of the midfield in the 2nd half. Pardew's response to this was to remove a midfielder and put on Shola
  8. If Cabaye was given the role that Nolan has he'd match him for goals. Always has his best games when he's allowed to play further up the field.

    Papiss Cissé

Just give him a role through the middle with Ba on the left of a front three. Forget individuals, benefits the team as a whole. Gotta go back to this now surely?
  10. Is a massive player for us; huge miss when he's not playing.
  11. Suprised to se Tiote so far down on peoples list. A huge miss in the last couple of games. Really is no-one else in the squad who has such a huge impact on the way we play. HBA a close second as currently is the only one showing the ability to change a game.

Pards needs to let him off the leash IMHO.Needs to play as a number 10 off Ba or Cisse; don't care which we piss off, HBA is our most important/creative attacking player.
  13. We might as well have played Raylror first half and brought HBA off the Bench. Fact is, HBA is totally wasted in the role he was asked to play in the first half today.
  14. I maybe in the minority but I really hope this happens. Think he'll be back with a real desire to prove people wrong, as soon as he pulls on the shirt again the goals will flow. As for him not fitting our style now etc, we'll have real striking options when deciding whether to play 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-5-1 or whatever depending on the opposition.
  15. DOF? He's the Chief Scout, identifying and recommending players same as every other Chief Scout.
  16. Never get the media wankfest over Moyes. Pure hoofball. They really are an awful team.
  17. Simpson takes up the correct position for the first goal, providing cover in the middle.

Deserves huge credit. Pisses me off when I hear Talkshite and their sort paying credit to Ashley. This good start is all down to Pards and the players, despite Ashley ( not too indifferent to most clubs; manager wants more players than chairman/owner will sanction shocker). The players who left were huge characters, the way the transition has been handled and the team spirit maintained (bettered IMHO) has been a fantastic acheivment. When we signed Marvaeux on a free instead of N'zogbia I predicted the end of the world. Delighted to be proved so so wrong. Undoubtedly there will be tough times to come this season but at the moment he is getting all the plaudits and they're all well deserved.
  19. Down to Pards this one IMHO. Go and impose our game like Villa away and they're there for the taking. Set up like QPR away and we'll get beat. Confidence must be sky high, stick with the same team and tactics.
  20. What is it with Ian W? He always seems to put a positive spin on everything. Is he really that stupid?
  21. Notice how Pardew rubbed his nose before he answered - typical body language of a liar. Beresford nailed it for me in his summing up of Bartons role in our team, fucking scandalous that we're driving him out.
  22. How can you say that when we have barely had enough time to judge Cabaye? It's a major ask for these new signings to hit the ground running when they come from a different country/league. Taking to it like to a duck to water (as Robert did) is very rare. It's not like Cabaye suddenly just materialised into existence when we signed him - Nut is referring to his set piece taking ability, which is something that can be judged based on his career in French football. Taking a corner isn't more difficult in the premier league. Great let's not worry about him adapting to the pace of the Premier League. At least we'll have good corners.... Do you think Man City thought "s***, let's not get Aguero to replace Tevez, he might not adapt". Cabaye is a class player man. Don't post crap man. Are you seriously comparing our squad and it's limited options with Man City's??
