Anyone remember wanting rid of Hughton because he was part of the 'cockney mafia'? I know a lot of us were not overly impressed with him becoming manager at the time, me included, but always got the impression it was just down to the fact we didn't think he was good enough. Sunderland fans on RTG seem to think it was because of the 'cockney mafia' idea mentioned.

Given that Norwich, PSV and Rangers all got 2 goals against us it's difficult to imagine we'll be keeping a clean sheet at Old Trafford. Combine that with not many goals in our side and I'm afraid this one's a loss. 2 or 3 nil I guess. If Ben Arfa signs and plays we'll get a goal somehow.

Was that Guthrie that gave the ball away leading to their second goal, coz he's done that a lot today.

Nice to watch up until the final ball. We need a mobile striker, some movement. Defence a little shaky too, but overall a decent show so far.

It's risky, but I'd rather take the gamble of playing a high line than sit back and invite pressure onto us. I was thinking about how many pacy forwards we're going to meet over the course of the season, though I know what you mean too.

Are you taking the piss? No, he's probably the least effective player in that 11. Flatters to decieve and he has quite a few of you fooled because he runs around a lot, but so do headless chickens. Just my opinion like, but compared to some of the players we've had in that position over the years the guy is a waste of space.
