  1. What's our record for coming from behind in matches, he asked hesitantly.

Not good enough to impress Colchester but apparently impressive from our perspective. As the only benchmark Newcastle's coaching staff currently have is the existing squad that's a pretty damning statement on them. If a word of it's true.
  3. Thats off yesterday and already done at length Is it, I searched for it before posting and never found anything more recent than Jan 03, so thought some may have missed it.

  5. Not strange to me, I find it is always this way. The more they try and standardise something the more bland it gets. Effectively you are training creativity and fresh thinking out of people, whatever the field.
  6. I shudder to think. If Ashley stays we have little hope because he's guaranteed to do something stupid at some stage, if he sells we're quite possibly fucked anyway as the transition period is liable to be protracted. Hughton's a coward, imo, and he's got no chance of inspiring a team that start losing every other game. Two or three new players or not - nailed on bottom 6, but survive by skin of teeth.
  7. A sort of Spanish version of us then.

    Server Issue

I thought we must have been sold. :-[
  9. It's a little bit like pulling out when they're ending a 14 yr relationship though. Obviously not happy with something (ashleyCOUGH!)
  10. Souness for me. Ashely is an idiot. Souness was supposed to know football.
  11. Can I ask a stupid question. Why doesn't someone run their own dedicated server from their home, couldn't you buy a box with the donations and stick the necessary stuff on it? (Don't know anything about it like but it seemed plausible as the thought occured to me.)
  12. Club enters administration as the final casting vote, (believed to belong to a forum of dedicated supporters), can't agree on which way to vote and they missed the requisite deadline.
  13. Wouldn't be surprised to see Stevie Taylor giving it a go. I mean who among us reckoned Clarkey would make it?
  14. I'm praying it does happen, on so many levels it would be an astonishing coup that could potentially change football as we know it. Though don't ask me how. At least the southern press couldn't call us deluded anymore, they'd have to doff their caps.. 'fuck me, they've only gone and bought the club.' And if Moat was trying to buy the club with (mostly) borrowed money, don't want that; what's the point in saddling the club with debt just to get your hands on it?
  15. I think a lot of people wear poppies because they feel obliged too. The pressure is on them to follow the crowd. I doubt 10% of people wearing poppies give more than a seconds thought to what it represents. And on another note. Shane MacGown (sp?) talking about the ANZAC day parade, or singing to be precise. Now every April I sit on my porch, And I watch the parade pass before me, I see my old comrades how proudly they march Reliving the dreams of past glory. I see the old men all twisted and torn, The forgotten heroes of a forgotten war. And the young people ask me, What are they marching for. And I ask myself the same question. And the band plays Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda, And the old men still answer the call, But year after year their numbers get fewer, Soon no-one will march there at all.

    Sports Direct

Tagging stadium on the end annoys me more than the sportsdirect@ tbh. No-one in history ever called it anything but St James' Park, now all of a sudden it's St James' Park Stadium.
