  1. North East suicide rate would go off the scale were that to happen.
  2. "Mongs"... Given that you use vocab like this then I despair with this club as you idiots use this vocabulary and you feel it is appropriate and is not a reason as to why the world ridicules the club. Grow up you fucking idiots... Pot, kettle. Urban Dictionary: Mong ~ A fucking idiot.
  3. Unfortunately you'd be wrong, it only takes one mong to think he's being a hero.
  4. That was +20m. Whatever the club raised normally, +TV money, +Sponsorship, (which apparently we didn't have as already spent by the previous board), +20 million.
  5. Can you explain a bit more on that then? Not how you know but how Wise' cause the problem Keegan couldn't stand the site of Wise, yet Wise ended up actually being in charge of player recruitment and sales, and was bypassing Keegan over these. Which is what cause the implosion on deadline day. ...which was a rationale response to his failure to identify realistic targets? Who knows. Just because you know that Keegan and Wise fell out doesnt mean you know anything more than anyone else about why this happened.h Exactly. KK's come out of this smelling like roses. Perfectly played. Not to my mind, Keegan could have played the hand he was dealt whilst attempting to improve his position/situation over the course of the season. He threw the toys out of the pram and left the team (players) crushed. Don't smell like a rose to me.
  6. I love all these one post wonders coming crawling out of the woodwork basically typing as much bullshit as they possibly can. Exactly. At least us regulars have mastered typing as much bullshit as we can.
  7. So missing the point I'm probably wasting my time replying, but the Arsenal model is the only way to go and it would take time. He's been pushed out by a press-fueled collection of mongs who need everything done tomorrow.
  8. I've got a lot of respect and admiration for SBR but in this situation I wish he'd keep his opinions to himself. And why would a manger need Premier League experience? I can understand to a degree that it helps a player to have played there already, but a manager? Or was he just underlining Bruce's credentials.
  9. Ameobi just needs a fair crack of the whip, a run of games to show us what he can do.
  10. Hughton needs to switch things, somehow. Need more possession, take control of the game or it will be three!
  11. Butt needs a spell on the bench, for the rest of the season maybe.
  12. Poll missing a potentially popular answer.. Question: Who should compromise? KK or Ashley? Keegan Ashley Both Find a new manager and move on Ashley should give up, sell the club and move on
  13. How about, for example... Newcastle United Football Club would like to express their concerns at the recent turn of events culminating in Kevin Keegans resignation from his position as manager. We would like to assure the fans that we are currently investigating the best manner in which to move forward from this ensuring similar events never happen again, providing a more sound footing for the future growth and success of the football club as a whole. The club will endeavour to keep the fans informed of our plans as and when necessary and applicable. Not that difficult to say something, nothing really said there but it could have worked as a token appeasement if nothing else.
  14. Don't suppose we'll ever know what went on there tonight. As some have pointed out Ashley must have been offering some compromises. Did he not offer enough - one would assume he was willing to go some way to putting things right, or did he meet with an intransigent Keegan.

You have to force quit to get the damn thing to stop. Use Google Chrome, it'll ask you after the second prompt if you want to close it straight away. Be a bit careful, my mate got keylogged on Chrome the other day, think there's a patch to fix now but seems there are a few problems cropping up Anyone who uses Firefox can get a plug-in called NoScript. Quite simply you authorise which scripts on a page are allowed to run. Pages load faster and you never get caught by surprise, a right-click on embedded objects lets them play or not etc.
  16. The poll attached to this thread raised some questions with me. What exactly is the attraction of buying up EPL clubs anyway. For Abramovich it seems to be a plaything. But for the Glazers and this Abu Dhabi United Group, and for others? The simplest answer would seem to be money, but is there really that much to be made? I guess the answer must be yes or it wouldn't be happening. If there were 10 teams in the premiership with the financial clout to try and buy their way to success it might make the league more exciting again, for a while, but where would it end? How could that level of investment keep spiralling, because it would have to, without crashing. Can Platini get restrictive barriers put in place and should he, from the point of view of the Champions League it certainly does seem unfair that some clubs can have 100's of millions of debt whilst others have none, nor are allowed any. (I think.) The equivalent of 'financial doping' someone said, comparing it to a drugged horse. For a long time football (in England) was just that, football. Any team could come along and show enough improvement to rise to the top before inevitably sinking back down. Now that is all but gone without a sugar daddy, and the EPL seems to be going through one transition after another.
  17. ...the future plans of my management. Sounds like an individual speaking, not a group. (Just an observation.)
  18. And if that replacement is a knacker? Tar & feathers first answer came to my mind, and I'm a normally staid pacifist.
