  1. he's gonna be Woy's replacement, isn't he. God I hope so.
  2. Well if dream are anything to go by he's our next manager. News came through that Random Name was our next manager and we were all distraught, put on suicide watch etc. I went to bed (in the fucking dream) and fell asleep miserable as fuck. Next morning I wake up (in the dream) and everyone is happy as fuck, what happened. Garde has been appointed. Proceed to pub to celebrate.

Apart from the having a go at Newcastle fans at Southampton incident and the pathetic 'apology' on .cock afterwards, very unsavoury as it was, he could attempt to carry himself with a bit of dignity as the caretaker manager. I don't mind him throwing his head in the ring, but he should have kept it away from the media. The incessant quotes about him working with the best, Mourinho giving him the seal of approval, etc. when he hasn't done anything to prove he might be worthy of the job is desperate beyond belief. I sincerely hope we appoint someone else and he leaves in order to manage in the lower leagues where he belongs. I wish he would.
  4. Not liking the sound of this guy at all. Like a German Pardew. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/8644181.stm
  5. Absolutely.. VfB Stuttgart On 12 December 2010 Labbadia became the new head coach of VfB Stuttgart.[11] In his first season with the club, he managed to save the club that was staring relegation in the face after the disastrous reigns of his two predecessors, Christian Gross and Jens Keller, ended in the last quarter of 2010. VfB Stuttgart finished in 12th place in the 2010–11 Bundesliga, and would then qualify for the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League by virtue of its sixth position in the 2011–12 Bundesliga.[12] On 30 January 2013, Labbadia signed a contract extension with Stuttgart, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2015.[13] VfB Stuttgart lost the 2012–13 DFB-Pokal final to FC Bayern Munich, but qualified for the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League by virtue of the fact that Bayern Munich had also won the 2012–13 Bundesliga title. In the morning of 26 August 2013, Labbadia was relieved of his duties with immediate effect. His club had lost the opening three Bundesliga matches of the 2013–14 season and was in the second last position in the league table. During the press conference held in the afternoon on the same day, club president Bernd Wahler said, "Bruno Labbadia has done good work at VfB over the past three years but we want to provide fresh impetus with this change."[14][15]
  6. ex Stuttgart manager, 119 games 42.0% win Hasn't worked since 2013?
  7. But more importantly, has Skirge aired his views on this potential appointment yet.

I remember someone on here saying they went to school with him.
  9. Probably learnt something from Bishop, saw how effective lying to the press is. He's going to get worse. I still believe he'll end up exposed, mostly because he IS a shit manager. He may get roasted in the media then as he's got the wool over so many eyes.
  10. Mental health problems, ala Pardew.
  11. Amazing, I used to be grinding my teeth reading shit like this, now I'm actually grinning.
  12. That picture. Just me or anyone else see a bit of a resembalnce with Gary Speed?
  13. Oh no. Maybe you should go back in time and LISTEN TO THE NEWCASTLE UNITED FANS. But then he'd still be here. I just want them to greet him like he deserves rather than all this hero, great manager bullshit they gave him. The fall is higher from the perch they've put him on.
  14. Really? I thought it was pretty deft in the first half, struggled last few times he's received the ball though. Agreed, his feet have been as tricky as ever.
  15. It was a tell-tale sign the ball hit him in the fucking face you idiot. Fair enough it ricoched there off his hand like.
  16. Commentator just said no team has scored more second half goals this season than Newcastle United. I'm going to assume he means as a percentage of a team's goals scored, otherwise there's no way that could be right!
  17. Why would Pardew leave to go to Palace? A club on the fringes of relegation which he is going to have to save. Remember his first interview, he didn't look like a man relishing a new challenge and happy to be in the job he chose. He looked more like a man going through the motions of something he had to do (the interview) and barely keeping the sourest of expressions off his face. Can you see Pardew rushing off to take a job where the pressure is really on from the first game, based on what we already know about Pardew. I'm thinking he was pushed, bit by bit.. find another job. We'll never know what goes on behind scenes but there were plenty opportunities to give him warnings. So why walk, why not make Ashley sack him? Does it not feel as if this was, to a degree, planned with how quickly we are apparently in talks with Garde? Did a shortlist exist before we even heard about Pardew in talks with Palace? Did anyone in the media even question this? How often does someone leave a mid-table club, voluntarily, to take over at a relegation placed team?
  18. He's has been good for a total of five minutes in one match. But he's a fringe French International. The odds are that he is better than he is bad, no? Don't misunderstand, I think it is talented, but one good half does not make a player at NUFC. It is just a heavy level of confirmation bias to say that Pardew has prevented him from playing this way every match, when he has not played this way in any match. Encouraging from both him and the entire side, this half though. I felt the point was that Pardew barely let him play before leaving him on the bench for 88 minutes a game. But yeah, encouraging signs.

  20. I'm telling you, the news has filtered into the dressing room that it's definitely not Carver next manager. The players are feeling free of a millstone. Now wait for the second half. :/
