  1. I'd only just put the Manure match on as well, perfect timing.
  2. Can you not work smileys like?
  3. To be fair last season he was only involved in 25 Premier League games, scoring 9 times (not sure how many where full 90 mins either). If he played the full season up front he might get to 15
  4. Sounds a bit like Gutierrez.
  5. But he's completely immobile Then again I suppose you can get away with being slow and clumsy as a winger in the SPL
  6. Worse than 1 in 3 in the SPL, and that was at his peak
  7. What happened to the lad in 20012-2013?, 1 goal and 1 assist, bizarre.
  8. So we are discounting shit seasons now? Ok so let's call Torres and Cisse 1 in 2 strikers then Torres last few seasons are all very consistent, around 1 in 5 every time. Wellbeck on the other hand got 1 in 3, followed by 1 in 27 and then 1 in 2.7. Hardly something that's likely to be a trend. 1 in 4, 1 in 3, whatever, I think he's a goal scorer but not the type Pardew could make use of.
  9. More like 1 in 3 really, with a shit season in between, and I doubt he even played most of those games as a striker. Is he what we need?, maybe not and certainly not for £15m. But I wouldn't say he's not a goal scorer.
  10. Last three seasons (Premier League only): 2011-2012 - 30 Games - 9 Goals 2012-2013 - 27 Games - 1 Goal 2013-2014 - 25 Games - 9 Goals Seems to have had a strange season in 2012-2013 but other than that a good return, also doesn't usually play as an out and out striker does he?
  11. "Delia" not exactly hard to figure out Oh haha I saw the pic and read the comment with "Delia said on Van Dijk" and actually thought the fucker had said that (Delia rather than Deila)
  12. What the fuck does that hag have to do with it?
  13. Doubt we'll be pushing him anywhere, he'll go it a move he really wants comes along, otherwise he'll stick around no matter what the club wants.
  14. Theirs plenty of strikers in between top tier and shite like Shane Long without having to resort to that utter tosspot.
  15. Definitely should be a former mate, what a thick cunt.
  16. So just a 70 million profit this year then :-) It will be interesting to see how much profit we make in the accounts as so far we have only spent the money brought in with sales and although there may be an increase in wages, surely most of that will have been covered by the wages of Cabaye, Debuchy, Shola and Gosling. Of all the new arrivals, I would have thought that only De Jong and Cabella will be on relatively big wages. If we don't bring in anyone else, surely we will be making a massive profit and if that is not the case, then something is not right as the club is run on a shoestring as it is. If nothing changed from right now we'd probably be making a profit of somewhere between £30m-£40m. Depending on exactly what date the accounts cover (which I can't remember exactly). Spending money on players doesn't affect profits, selling players does however and wages+depreciations. Players are thought of as assets in football club accounts. They are bought in as assets and their value is depreciated evenly throughout their contract. Tiote i.e. was bought for 3,5m pounds and lets assume the agent fees were about 0,5m. So 4m in total. Don't remember how his original contract was but lets say 4 year. Tiote would then be 4m in the books when he was bought as an asset and 4m out in money so the books are the same. Each year he would then get depreciated 1m. That would make him fully depreciated this year and his value in the books would be 0. So any amount we would get for him would go in as a profit since his value is 0. This is of course simplified a bit. An accountant could explain it better. It doesn't affect accounting profits no, but it will affect our real world profit/loss (as in total incomings vs total outgoings), especially since we pay for players all up front. I've no idea what the accounting profit will be but I think what people are talking about is the real money we'll have left in the bank rather than a accounting number (of course even then it was a wild guess on my part).
  17. I believe at 24 he's capable of sorting his attitude out. Everyone is talking about lazy he is and he scored 30 in 54 for Milan. If he does manage to sort himself out he'll be scary good. A one in one player for sure, especially since he takes free kicks and excellent penalties. 1 in 1?, don't be daft. Thing with Ballotelli is he seems to fly out of the gate at a new club, then gets worse as times goes on before leaving within two or three seasons. Seriously doubt he will ever sort it out.

  19. We did get Cabella and De Jong TBF, you could argue we'll end up with more attacking threat than when we had Cabaye. Especially if Sissoko is allowed to play centrally. Nope. I'd rather have Cabaye, HBA & Remy than Cabella, De Jong, Riviere at this juncture. I'd much rather have those three if they were allowed to play, but Ben Arfa isn't and wasn't really allowed to last season either. Assuming Cabella and De Jong will start consistently I think they'll probably offer more assists and goals than Cabaye and a mostly benched Ben Arfa. Though obviously I doubt Riviere is going to give us what Remy did.

    Remy Cabella

Nah I know you weren't, just commenting on the general idea that his end product might have been a let down.

    Remy Cabella

Good ball over the top for Perez chance and very good cut back for Sissoko when he blasted a good chance over, sure there was more, decent end product IMO.
  22. Do they not just mean he'll be back on the 23rd for our next match? EDIT: Nice editing there mate
  23. If he starts Taylor against Man City after the first game of last season he's actually got to be taking the piss and trying to get sacked.
