  1. Plenty, plenty monies. Many, many monies? Considering the TV-deal was like a million trillion quadroolions, and Southampton are spending £50M, we should have a little money in our wallets at least. An increase of some £20m from the bottom club to some £40m for the league winners by some estimates. Enough to cover an empty stadium btw. The money we've just received/will soon receive is the last payment of the previous deal AFAIK (?). I think this coming season is when the new deal kicks in so we'd get the increased payment next summer. EDIT: Yep we received £45m for last season (2012-2013). http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2012-13/may/premier-league-total-broadcasting-payments-season-2012-13.html Next summer the team finishing last will get at least £60m (rather than the £39m the bottom team received for the 2012-2013 season).
  2. What happened his first season or so then?, just a collective delusion? Clearly he can do a good job, but that's dependent on the job you ask him to do.
  3. It happens often here. The "what have you done for me lately" mentality. Shearer in the past, Cisse last season, now him ? Ridiculous So many fickle people, everywhere though not just here.
  4. Nobody would get in ahead of Jonas with the current manager like. True, surely he could get ahead of Obertan on the bench, Ahh same reason as Jonas. A favourite and Pardew bought Obertan in. There's none so blind as those who will not see.......Alan Pardew. Definitely the case with Jonas, not sure about Obertan. As far as my opinion on Amalfitano goes whenever I've seen him he hasn't looked to have much about him, but obviously he's rarely been given a chance. Abeid, on the other hand, I've been impressed with whenever I've seen him.

  6. We were chaotic rubbish under both, but JK started the rot. I was at SJP for the Liverpool game, as bad as we've been in my lifetime. Was shit, like the 6:0 last season. I agree that we'd have probably stayed up had the heart attack not happened. Kinnears useless, but it didn't take a good manager to keep us up, just a bit of consistency.

How can Kinnear do worse?, get us relegated? I mean how can he possibly sabotage the team and its tactics anymore than Pardew already does? We only managed to stay up due to having too much quality to go down, despite Pardews best efforts. He's an embarrassing wanker, a poor manager and god forbid he replaces Pardew instead of someone competent. But I'm struggling to see why people think his team selections and tactics would necessarily be worse than the shite our current manager serves up every week.

How can Kinnear do worse?, think he'd have to murder the entire squad for that.

    Graham Carr

I think every one of the players you just mentioned had pages of "No chance we'll get him" or "Far too good for us" posts before we signed them. Obviously that doesn't mean they're world beaters and you never know how a player will adapt to a new league, but generally I think they're all high quality.

So they have been near as good as people think?

If you play horrendous tactics, play players out of position and generally drum all creative instinct out of your squad you can make any player look a lot worse than they are. Some may overate players at times, but IMO they're undoubtedly very good players overall. Also who knows how prominent Marveaux could have been last season had Pardew actually fucking played him. Basically every time he got a chance he looked excellent, and while a lot is said about his injuries he was available for quite a few more games than he was involved in last season. As far as Sissoko goes, he was absolutely brilliant for 3 games, than tried his best to drag us through and slowly lost momentum and belief, and of course got injured. Again to me it comes down to being misused and in a seriously malfunctioning setup.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, if Ben Arfa is sold I'm officially losing the fucking plot!

Definitely not in the last 3 windows (as in January 2013, Summer 2012, January 2012). We've spent about £56m in the last 3 seasons, though we've brought in almost exactly the same amount in the same period (£57m). Looking at our accounts we generally spend everything that's their to break even. With costs going down recently we've started spending more per season than we bring in on player sales (£13m sold vs £27m bought last year). So with revenue going up significantly next season I don't see why we can't spend a decent sum before sales. Sounds like the comment is pulled right out of his arse.

    Alan Pardew

absolutely this, and I disagree that Kinnear can appoint the next manager, that's ashleys remit no one else. I sincerely hope pardew goes and someone of some sort of calibre is appointed but this is nufc who of any calibre or common sense will want to work directly under uncle joe. What have we got now though? someone we got to 5th with I now back Pardew, as I dread what would happen if he goes Yeah what if we play even worse Football than under Pardew, oh wait that's impossible.

    Andy Carroll

At least there's some good news today anyway
  16. I'd be gutted if Hull get Bent like. I mean he's utter dog shit and I'd hate to see him here. But what's most important to me is being able to compete at any cost.
  17. Teasy

    Andy Carroll

Where do people get the idea Carroll was our number one target? Pardews number one target maybe.
  18. Teasy

    Andy Carroll

Very relieved. Anyway so that's a total outlay of nearly £49m for Andy Carroll

    Derek Llambeezy

Fair enough, but he was never this bad Its like he's had a stroke and Ashley just isn't bothered. His 52 swear word rant the first time round was pretty bad iirc. What a cunt. At least he managed to get peoples names right when calling them cunts, the fucker can barely speak now

  21. The team coming bottom of the PL will get amount next season won't they? IIRC they signed a new TV deal last pre-season for Ligue 1. Nah quite a lot more, €47.97m is £40.7m which is the same as Wigan got for being relegated this season (think Reading got £39.8m for finishing bottom). Next season its something like £60m+ for the bottom placed Premier League team.

Is Kinnear now just a parody of himself?
  23. He told you that has he? Stoke still relegated? Wigan still up?, we still relegated?
  24. He told you that did he? Or are we going to get 10 transfer requests because of Kinnear then? I know its bad but common
  25. Definitely, but this lad might not be years from 1st team ready. Could be an N'Zogbia or a Zamlbera, we'll see.
