The appointment wasnt even the worst thing. Allowing him to spend their budget on an entire new squad on long term contracts was an even more catasrophic decision.

Hull have some kind of voodoo going on when it comes to us, but luckily with Brucey in charge their relegation is inevitable, whether its this season or the next.

Ok, I'm not saying I wouldn't prefer Lukaku even on current ability no matter the age. I would prefer Lukaku even if they were both the same age right now. But I can't say I believe Lukaku is on another level right now that's all, as in head and shoulders above him. Again if you think so ok but I don't see enough to believe that personally.
-
You might as well be out because I feel like I'm talking to someone who isn't all there anyway.
-
Right, and you're the one who said you don't know what age has to do with it.. Look we're getting into semantics now. My point was that while Lukaku could be considered on another level due to the fact he is at such a high level at such a young age (as in comparative to age he's on another level) I'm really not sure he's currently that much better.
-
You don't need to look at Lukaku's long term record, you could merely compare both players recent records I don't even know what they are, but I know that apples and oranges aren't comparable. My point is we don't have enough of a record for Lukaku to currently say he's on another level, that's just my opinion though.
-
In his one full season in the Premiership Lukaku has scored 1 in 2 in a lower league team. Gomis has a long term 1 in 3 record for a comparatively speaking better team(s) in a comparatively speaking lower quality league. I know who I'd rather have in my team. Why are you comparing a short term record to a long term record? Like I said Lukaku will very likely be on another level in future and if you think he already is then fine, but I'm certainly not comfortable with that judgment at the moment. Either way their's no logic at all in comparing a recent record to a long term record. Also never said I wouldn't prefer to have Lakaku, I said I'm very unsure of the claim that he's currently on another level to Gomis.
-
Fine, I don't agree, until we see them both in this league and they have more than a single good season. The relevance of age is absolutely obvious, Lukaku is at an age where he's likely to improve more than Gomis will.
-
To be fair Gomis from what I've seen from him is a similar type of player, albeit obviously not at the same level. As you say though, it was painfully obvious we needed another striker, somebody who could give us something different to what we have, yet we failed to act decisively once again, even though the players were quite clearly available.. Taking their age into consideration they aren't the same level, but I wouldn't say right now Lakaku is on another level to Gomis, not at all IMO. I suppose we'll see for sure when/if he comes here.

Needs to be dropped for at least a game or two, Gouffran offers more at the moment.
-
Of course, but considering strikers are often very dependent on confidence/form getting someone like Cisse scoring can win quite a few future matches.
-
Can't remember the last time I agreed with a thing they wrote. The sites only worth looking at for stats IMO

Nee way. Pardew is responsible for poor set pieces. The rest is down to the players themselves. And hoofball. Don't forget the hoofball. He's absolutely been responsible for that in the past. Its just taken a bit of pressure to bring it out in him in previous seasons, we'll see if that's changed if we hit some major problems this season. Also remember him talking about the new amazing unstoppable set pieces he'd devised, shortly before we stopped scoring from set pieces.

Was just having a look at a Hull City forum (yes I was also surprised they had a forum ). Most of them are sensible enough but they've got a few right fruit loops on their like. Here's a nice example of the insanity: Is "Ben Arfa better than Aluko?"
-
I'm 99.99999999% sure he's taking the piss like
-
He was either on side or on side, or at the very least on side.

What a fucking looney

http://s21.postimg.org/uo2u9e6lj/w_Yz7yz_G.jpg Can't be offside by a hand, and if you could even his hand looks behind the ball.
-
Don't need another angle, look at the lines on the grass, Ben Arfa is behind the ball. The flag might have gone up but it would have been the wrong decision, close and understandable at full speed but wrong never the less.
-
Last season the entire team struggled, he was out of the side for a while and there was also the whole controversy of him wantng to leave. I just cant agree to assuming age was the reason for a lesser performance from him last season. Hope you're joking about his mental quickness going BTW, you're making him sound like a grandad here, he's 31
-
Have they? I don't think so at all. I do..down to his pace going I reckon. Got caught too far up the pitch at Spurs and Liverpool just off the top of my head...he's still a very good centre half just not as good as he was 2 or 3 seasons ago. He's never been remotely quick on the ground since he's been here. The way he plays is about being quick mentally rather than physically. Reading the game and cutting an attack off early and using his skill on the ball to smuggle it away and keep possession. His lack of pace usually doesnt cause a problem because of his intelligence, but of course its inevitable that it'll get exploited sometimes. Because of the way he plays I dont see why he cant play well into his 30's either, at least he now has pace next to him in Yanga Mbiwa as well.
-
He put out a positive lineup and went for the win, hope this is the start of some long awaited positivity from Pardew. More importantly I hope he doesn't revert back to negativity after a few bad results.
-
Its not dropping at the moment so no point. If he starts taking his initial investment back I'm sure people will keep track and update every year.

It was Sissoko.
