  1. Aye, but also the likes of Brooks, Ramsdale, Cook, Begovic, Lermer, King, Mings, Wilson, Fraser, etc. Some stinkers are inevitable.
  2. He did so at Bournemouth and recommended the guy to join him at Celtic. Richard Hughes, I think.
  3. They approached him in the summer and will undoubtedly have had everything agreed with him before sacking Nuno this time around.
  4. No fan of Edwards, but he's summed things up well there. Still doesn't mean everything is bad forever, though.
  5. Hope you’re right. It’s giving me flashbacks to a previous transfer saga. Maybe a French club? Denied it was happening until the last minute and it happened, naturally.
  6. Think I’ve solved it, lads! ”There has been work to do on personal terms and there still is, with Lee Charnley, managing director under Mike Ashley and still in post now, handling negotiations.” From Caulkin on The Athletic today.
  7. Leaks don’t just come from one side.
  8. Hope to fuck he’s just leveraging for a bigger salary and a bit more control, like.
  9. He’s branching out man, caught the NUFC bug. Fingers in every pie.

Us, the “richest club in the game” apparently on the verge of hiring a world class manager. Them, owned by a bairn and still at the mercy of an absolute chancer and losing 3-0 in division two. If Carlsberg did rivals…
  11. You know lawyers do the contract bit, right?
  12. Howay Unai, get on the blower to Monchi again eh? "The club always had the idea of incorporating someone to be the hinge between board and team, and there were several candidates. One was Monchi, who has an important reputation. "I have a very good relationship. We spoke a couple of times, and, in the end, I work well with all. Everyone I've worked with, it's gone well, as it did with him." -Emery in 2019
  13. I'd be surprised if he didn't go back to 3-4-2-1/5-2-2-1, but I'd like to see the 4-2-3-1 to get Lascelles out of the team and to see Joelinton given a run in his best position under a good manager. That three behind Wilson could be very fluid and it gives us an aerial target, which we sorely lacked on Saturday.

  17. What’s wrong with Big River, like? Or is it Nail?
  18. Just a nod of appreciation to the boy Craig Hope, who posted this back on 14th October. I think this was the first official link:

Bumpety bump. Can't wait to belt my old favourite out again: E I E I E I O, UP THE PREMIER LEAGUE WE GO, WHEN WE GET TO EUROPE, THIS IS WHAT WE'LL SING: WE ARE GEORDIES, SUPER GEORDIES, EMERY IS OUR KING!
  20. Tend to agree. It's probably the most Rafa-esque appointment we could make in terms of philosophy, attention to detail, and reputation. However, it's also someone familiar with working under the sort of structure that it seems we'll be implementing, which it's unlikely Rafa would've been too happy with in the long-run. Very exciting and ticks all of the boxes, really. Also bodes very well for trusting the decision-making of the consortium, IMO. Let's hope this isn't a false dawn and he's announced imminently. Howay the fucking lads.
