Fancy this like. If we can name the same team and Rafa’s kept their heads in the game there’s absolutely no reason we can’t get a good win. We’re playing with such consistency it’s hard to see a dip. Slimani being there if necessary is a nice boost too. 2-0.

Involved in the build up for a lot of our best openings today, including winning the initial header for the move that led to the goal (I think!) He’s coming along nicely.

Looking forward to the last home game of the season, if we’re safe by then (which we will be), should be another love fest.

Probably is true re: the Keegan years. You never used to see many other team shirts in Newcastle back when I was a kid, but they’re all over the place now. We’ve been fairly shite for years so it’s understandable that kids without a family member giving them no choice will gravitate towards the bigger/better teams, the same is probably even more true when it comes to the mackems. If they go down to League 1, God willing, it’ll affect their catchment and attendances for years to come. This is just the natural order of things, so I enjoy that they’re so bitter about it.

Spurs have been brilliant considering the fact they’ve basically played home games at a neutral venue and haven’t been able to field a settled central midfield duo all season, but Liverpool play the type of football everyone wants to see. Still think Spurs are the better “team” at this stage, but I’d prefer to watch Liverpool every week. Fair enough?
