Proper deja vu here, feels like that Thursday all over again. We’re already past the point of climax time-wise, though!

Come on, now. mofo is sound as fuck.

Would probably blame Rafa for poaching Fernandez.

Elliot’s dad, innit?

They fully looked a team that trains thrice a week on Sunday, mind. Absolutely shagged.
-
They’re never off again?
-
Lascelles hit Diame so hard he became Kante for six months, in fairness.

These lads never miss. -
He’s Joey Barton levels of shit for brains. Absolute liability.

But why not just play the shape that worked with these players late last season, even? Willock was so deep today and because he’s paired with ASM he spends so much time covering wide. Stupid question, I know. Can’t wait until we’ve got a competent manager again.
-
Watched him closely today, he was nowhere far, far too often. No anticipation, no real bite, although admittedly he didn’t have much help after the opening 15z Think he’s more than passable in a deep-lying two with a manager like Rafa, but that period was his ceiling here.

Sooner, please. Clark and Hayden have regressed so much since the last time I was at SJP. Yards off it today. Darlow remains utterly garbage, as well.

At least he’s cut the post-match beers out.

Time for an N-O radio stream? Someone sort it for Heron!

I know it’s been written that he can’t make it tomorrow, but just imagine…

What a roar. Ayoze’s changed the game.

? Some cracking quotes. Has to be one of the players or a coach not named Steve, surely?

“Trust me, we all know what needs to happen,” one very senior source tells us, and “changes will come soon.” https://theathletic.com/2888877/2021/10/16/trust-me-we-all-know-what-needs-to-happen-inside-the-first-week-of-newcastles-takeover

Never had much love for Emery, and loved Ben Arfa making a mockery of him at PSG and then later at Rennes, but can't say I felt anything much for Rafa before he came. Have a feeling he'd be as about as close as we can get to him in terms of style and attention to detail, so would be more than willing to give him a chance. Definitely not excited by him, though, and any concerns people have/had about Benitez and ASM would be relevant here too. Structure above all else.

Dirty Harry’s stuck £10k on.

Thanks @kisearch, that's exactly what I meant. Feels like it has the benefit of having the least impact on the surrounding green space, the least impact on the surrounding businesses, and maintains most of the things that make SJP special (I would hate to lose the Gallowgate and our current location). Absorb all of the external car parking spaces into the stadium (and add more), then they could do so much with the space vacated by the existing ground. I'd love to see a purpose-built park/fan-park with loads of maintained green space and club icon statues, etc.
