  1. Had a little pound before kickoff on 7 goals+ as well, should add, pays back £56.
  2. Decided to bite the bullet and whack some more funds in. Stuck £20 on 5.5 goals or more. A bit happier now. Could have been an extremely good night had the money come straight in like as I wouldn't have missed out on another £20 squids.
  3. I'd be betting on 5 or more as well now like. Argh.
  4. Any idea why Betfair haven't paid out on my in-play "2 goals or more" bet on Villa/Blackburn? (They usually do straight away.) I wanted to bang my winnings on 4 goals or more with the way the game was going and haven't been able to. 2-2 now, absolutely fucked off!

  6. Apart from his goals this season though, has his general play really been any better than what we've seen from him for the last 9 1/2 years? He's shocking man, yet somehow became our saviour while he was out injured.
  7. Yeah Stu that's the state of play. Looks like buying from a US vendor and getting domestic shipping is the way to go. Thanks for the advice chaps!
  8. Thought it'd be a good time to post this late-on as our American fans should all be floating around. After spending the summer in the States, I managed to convert a fair few "soccer fans" into raging "Toons" (as they decided to call themselves, despite the fact I tried to explain that we didn't really refer to ourselves as such...) Anywho, I promised them that I'd get some shirts sorted out and shipped over for them (ideally with printing on) when I was in a position to do so (i.e. caught up on the crazy amounts of money I frittered away while over there.) So basically I'm just wondering what my options are, based on people's knowledge/experiences of doing this. I know that shipping costs can be a real ball-ache, as I remember a lot of foreign fans complaining about the issue when we were in dialogue with the club about such matters. Cheers in advance for any help, means a lot. (Should add that they don't need to be the current shirts and that I'll probably be buying about half a dozen, maybe more. It was one of the older fella's birthday while I was out there and I managed to track down the 02-04 one in a store in Fresno about 15 minutes from their home (with the blue Northern Rock sponsor), which he was absolutely delighted with.) Couldn't get the current ones anywhere local for love nor money though.

It's defo just over the 60k mark, taking into account the second L7 corner that would be created. Remember a thread like this a good while ago. Think we'd be looking at about 80k in the realms of fantasy, where the entire ground would be built up.
  10. Go back and watch some highlights, his passes were often pretty incisive. He was involved in a good number of our goals. Never had a huge range of passing but could certainly pick out a pass. I agree that "great" may be stretching it a bit like... People's judgement of him as a player from his time here has always (generally) been clouded because of his personality and off-field behaviour, unfortunately. Top quality player, but injured too often unfortunately. Real shame.
  11. Locked by accident (iPhone on the train, it's easy to mis-click things sometimes as I'm sure a fair few people have noticed), sorry folks. Sorry for stifling the immense discussion with my clumsiness, more than anything.
  12. World Cup year, innit? Can't afford to not be playing, even with his profile in Cameroon.
  13. Did you miss the Ipswich match? No. I just thought we played better in the last 15 minutes against Boro. But I wasn't trying to start a debate about what was our best performance. My point was that we don't always play with the confidence that we're entitled to. When we do, the gap between us and the opposition looks huge. I agree. We started doing little dummies and breaking with speed, it's amazing how different we look with a bit of confidence. It's not, really, considering the enormous role confidence plays in football.
  14. I'd swap Nolan and Smith's marks, but other than that 100% spot on. I'd take about 1 full point off everybody.
  15. Get to fuck man, as Bluf would say. Credit where credit is due, he certainly wasn't as crap as usual.

Decent player playing out of position. Great cross for the second goal, cheeky little delivery for the first, always wanted the ball and looked lively. Some dodgy moments (particularly the pass that went through to Harper, just), but a good performance overall from someone without the natural attributes for playing out wide.
  17. As soon as he came on he did an overhead kick in the middle of the pitch to put it out for no reason. A few mins afterwards from a corner he crossed it out of play towards the corner flag. Just have a look back in this thread man, you werent watching if you missed his mistakes. He got better as the game improved yes, boro were already down by that point. I personally liked the overhead kick. Was the most flair I'd seen by anyone in the entire game. "Majestic" would sum it up.
  18. He's been excellent since he came on. Hes been OK, nowhere near excellent Hasnt put a foot wrong. Howay Chez, I love Nicky as much as any but a couple of his passes were stinking (particularly the one where Jonas was cutting in on goal). He was solid though, very solid. 'Boro had all but packed in by the time he came on like. As for the game on the whole, pretty bland, but another win and another clean sheet. Should have plenty left in the tank for Boxing Day, based on that. Rich, that was his only mistake and it wasnt really a mistake, it was a first time volleyed pass which swerved the wrong way for Jonas. He didnt give the ball away either so which was the other pass? Honestly mate he gave it away a good few times, perhaps even half a dozen in the spell he was on. He always does, unfortunately. I'm fairly certain the pass for Jonas was a run-of-the-mill five yard ball from the deck as well like, so maybe my memory is shot/I was seeing things. That's not me being funny, I honestly dunno about the technique of the pass, just that it nearly went out for a throw. By the same token, he did play a few nice passes and made some very decent tackles/interceptions! "Didn't put a foot wrong" is just a bit strong for me, although I always appreciate a good bit of optimism!

  20. Ah well, we were owed one or two after some dodgy decisions. What a pass from Nicky Butt. Fucking hell.
  21. It's about time, Shola has been blowing out his arse for about 15 minutes. Lovely header like!
  22. You think so? I think the entire back four has looked solid tbh. Probably harsh, but certainly the least convincing of the entire backline. Generally I'd say the right half is a fair bit weaker than the left side. I just don't rate the lad, so probably some negative bias coming into play. What a fucking tackle that is by Colo.
