Should have avoided Butt altogether and left Guthrie in the middle, swapping Lovenkrands straight for Pancrate. He does seem to have a thing for surprising us by throwing in hopeless players, like he did with Geremi at Scunthorpe. Dunno how you can complain when his changes took the score from 1-0 to 2-0 with ten men against a very decent side. Granted, we rode our luck a lot, but it was never going to be any other way. I'm not a fan of the little fella, but think he got it right today.

To have what is basically a four game swing between us and the Playoff spots is absolutely massive. As it stands, it's going to be a big, big ask for those teams (Forest, Leicester and Cardiff) to turn that around any time soon. Forest, for example, go to Brammall Lane next and then to Swansea, while Cardiff are away to WBA and then away to Middlesbrough. We've got trips to the Ricoh Arena and Oakwell. I know where I'd rather be going.

Got to look at doing something with the right flank now, for me, although Hughton will no doubt be hesitant to make his final change in case of any injuries. You could go with Pancrate to offer some pace and running as an outlet, or stick Taylor on there for Guthrie and hope for some chances from set-plays and play a more defensive tactic down the right with Jonas being used as our major outlet. Very tough spot for the manager now like. Howay the lads!

I'd expect Butt for Guthrie and R. Taylor/Pancrate on for Lovenkrands the way this is going. Every time I've ever listened to us on Radio Newcastle it's been torturous stuff.
