Apart from '73 you mean? No no. Thanks for ruining the attempted joke though, you mong. It was a daft insinuation that Mackems all have kids when they're 12... so if we were Sunderland then it would be THREE generations of our support since '69, not just TWO.
-
So two generations of our support have never seen a trophy, then. Very depressing fact. Could be worse though... could be 3 generations if we were Sunderland.

1. Someone to replace Viduka... Kenwyne Jones. 2. Stick with Owen, if he goes then Beye would be my pick. He's handsome, articulate, built like a brick shithouse... I could go on... 3. Martins 4. Still think Edgar is the best of the Academy graduates. 5. Faye 6. 4-3-3 7. Smith, Rozehnal, Ameobi - none of these need explaining - all too far gone. 8. 6th

Those are fucking mint. Grant steals the show in the second one too.
-
He'll be very good for them if it's true. They're building quite a team, unfortunately.

What you studying mate? British Politics and Legislative Studies. Nice! Hope it goes well. Might see you about.
-
No. Seconded. Joaquin has looked overweight to me when I've seen him recently, he's been pretty appalling for Valencia on the whole. Bet he'd want massive money as well.
-
I had a bunch of Cockneys (Arsenal/Liverpool fans) at Uni telling me Beye was shit and that Taylor was our best defender on the last day. They hadn't heard of Faye or Enrique... You have to laugh.
-
That's about as realistic as it gets, like.

Turned down for Wycombe! FFS Ashley/Mort/Llambias/Wise/Vetere/Jimenez!!! (Money, Money, yeah, yeah...)
-
He's on holiday I think. All the stories recently have been by Lee Ryder. Chronicle is like a three-legged dog without AO man!
-
I'd say Kelly Rowland's rendition of your national anthem was worse than anything that succeeded it last night.
-
What you studying mate?
-
It was in the Chronicle midweek, I think. Said they were continuing with the Falcons/NUFC sponsorship, but had ended a lot of others.
-
He might just have the clap.
-
Madness round here by the way, car horns going off all over the shop, people singing in the streets, the city centre is going to be buzzing all weekend now (bank holiday innit?) Shame I'm fucking off home later on!
-
Nice away game for me next season an' all, hoorah! Thrilled to bits.
-
Get in there!! Fantastic for the city, that, and fucking hell it needs it. Fantastic new stadium, going to be sold out every week and expanded to 32,000 over the summer, the chairman's going to back them to the hilt with money, you can't begrudge them it. I'd fancy them to fare better than Bristol would have done, still don't expect to see them stay up like. First ever time in the top flight, it's fantastic man. Good for Phil Brown too, seems a good bloke despite the permatan.
-
Obviously forgot to explain this to our squad. In fairness he probably tried... in a bumbling, incoherent manner over the PA system...
-
Are Turks famous for having massive chips on their shoulder? Or is it just on here and with Emre (obviously)? I'd always put that down to small man syndrome, rather than his nationality, have I been wrong?
-
Not a good one though, is it? Howay the Hull!
-
Agree with the sentiment, but when we sold Cole, there wasn't a plan in place re: Ferdinand/changing the overall style of play. Terry Mac admitted as much in an interview just after Keegan returned, think it was on Newcastle World. He mentioned some fan piping up during that famous scene outside SJP saying "Kevin wouldn't sell Andy Cole without a replacement/plan lined-up" and Terry Mac leaning in behind KK and whispering "oh yes he would!"
-
Aye, my first season ticket was in 02/03, our best season of this century, and there was no problem in getting one at all.
-
blackeye.gif How far down do you sit like, mate? Front row of the Gallowgate. It's fantastic when the ball's in that half, but as you say, the view gets incredibly cack when it's down the Leazes End. Good leg-room though!
-
Very true, and a crying shame really. Ashton is already a very good player, but he should have been fantastic.
