Why not just separate threads in the football forum though, which is what I think we were getting at? I dunno, I can see both points of view. It'll be fine either way. Just more clicking involved with the transfer forum for lazy buggers like me.
-
Aye, that's worse than anything. When there's debates about the same thing happening in 3 separate threads, sometimes means that good opportunites for discussion are lost as there'll be one person talking one point of view in one thread and someone else in another, without any crossover. One thread for one rumour makes sense to me. In that case, my view is to stick with one thread per player, and discouragement of lengthy discussion in the Realistic Transfer Targets thread about players with their own thread, someone (i.e. me) quoting posts from one thread into another to move the discussion if you get what I mean. Aye, makes sense. But the silent majority have still voted for the forum.

Just get on a plane, the airport is only about 4 miles from Ashton Gate. A plane!? For a football match. Fuck me Bag, that's stylish.

Today there's only been about a 3rd of the first page of the forum used by people posting in new threads. Everything below that hasn't been touched since yesterday. As long as people are fairly sensible with the links they post, I don't see the need for the transfer forum, if us lot are moderating it enough then it wouldn't be too hard to keep a handle on. It's not like the NUFC Forum is a hive of activity recently and it probably won't get any better over the summer. If it was filling up and filling up to the point where we had 100 threads every day (like some other football forums) and nobody could keep track of everything, then it'd be a bitch. But if there's one dedicated thread for each player that we're linked to, it won't be too bad at all. A mega thread would be a nightmare to keep up with and navigate and it'd be full of people asking "has n e thing happened yet!?!?!?!".

Derby, Birmingham and Reading swapping with WBA, Stoke and Hull trims a few miles off for those that travel away for every match like (not loads). Can't be bad. If Bristol go up, it adds miles, fuck that.

6-1 on aggregate, dear me. Quite a lot of people I know were there, they'll be loving this. Might go to Wembley if there's tickets to be had, like, wouldn't want to take the seats from proper fans though so will wait until the last minute. Even if I wasn't in Hull I'd want them to do it. Fuck going to Bristol for an away game.
-
Fucking awesome scenes there in the stadium, blue everywhere. Come on the Rangers.

What could be more depressing than writing off James Milner when he hasn't even had a chance to show if he'd be any better under Keegan, like many of his colleagues have done? No thanks.
-
Sammy Lee is crap, Parky said so. He'll be delighted he's going there with Rafa!

I am, unfortunately. It's good fun, but still can't wait 'til it's over. How long you got left? Still 2 years to go, maybe more if I find something worth doing a Masters in over in America.
-
Story started with Oliver in the Chronicle, didn't it? Think the rest have hopped aboard the bandwagon.

Students get a season ticket discount? shocking. It's not for certain yet, but a lot of other clubs do it and we've brought student pricing in already this season.
-
Shite. Forgot about season tickets like. Even if the student discount scheme comes in, I'll still be looking at £450.

Some people. I've got no money and I'm going to be working full-time all summer either back home or in Hull, most definitely won't be going away anywhere, yet I haven't adopted such a bitter viewpoint In fairness, most on the video have done alright. Emre is the only one I'd have any objection to, but he's not going anywhere.
-
Someone said he's the second highest earner at the club on £80,000 per week, if Smith is on £60,000 pw then that would be a boost for the wage structure getting these two off the books. You would have thought Gomis and Diana would be on less combined than Viduka is on. Think it was me that said that, actually. It's not far off the money anyway. He's definitely the second-highest paid player. Who the fuck would buy him, though?
-
I'll be amazed if Emre's still here after EURO 2008. Well, actually, like you say - if he gets crocked yet again we might struggle to shift him.
-
He'll get pissed up, spend loads of wedge and quite probably have a brilliant weekend, you cynical bugger

http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/sub/TVNews/0,,10278~1312316,00.html Think you need to be signed up to Newcastle World like, but it's a canny little watch seeing Keegan, Terry Mac, Harper, Edgar, Emre, Butt, Beye, Owen, Taylor and Milner talking about their plans for the summer. Terry Mac and Keegan are going to New York together for 4 days with their wives, according to Terry it's with the money they've won from being champions of "head tennis", taking it from Taylor/Beye and Butt/Owen. What a joker. For those that can't watch it: Keegan's going to California aside from that, Harper is planning a few holidays with family, Edgar's going to Vegas for his 21st, Emre doesn't have any plans apart from EURO 2008 and coming back to Newcastle for pre-season (really?), Nicky Butt is his usual miserable self and says he'll just take a break from football, Beye's going to Paris all summer as his family is there and his wife is expecting a baby in June (funny bit in his interview with Given, "Shay Given, he's a crazy guy!"), Owen's playing for England then going to Portugal with family, Taylor and Milner just say they'll be having a rest.
-
I'd worry about being able to shift him without the injury, personally. Like the bloke as a player, but agree with your sentiment and I wouldn't mind seeing him shot of. You can't pay a squad player the money he'll be on, which is hopefully all he'll be next term.
-
Nobody will sign Viduka this summer, surely? He might not even be fit before the transfer window is closed.
-
He's certainly got a bit of magic about him, but I could only really see him in the current "Owen role", as it were.

I'm from a Catholic family who all seem to prefer Celtic (I do as well, most of the time), but I still want Rangers to win. Their travelling support is a marvel and they seemed far less arsey than the Celtic fans when they came down here for that friendly a few years back.

Especially for a relegated team.
