  1. Milner on the left, Dyer on the right, Sibierski and Martins up front is what I'd expect to see now that Duff is injured and N'Zogbia is on the naughty step, waiting for his train to King's Cross. Carroll should/will also probably be involved ahead of Alberto after his weekend performance. For comedy value, and for another stick to beat Roeder with, I do hope Luque plays though - and that he's like the second-coming of Laurent Robert
  2. I wondered how long it would take them to take the whole board down. Utter mongs.
  3. Emre, Moore and N'Zogbia are the immediate three that spring to mind, considering the latter two were brought off early doors (was Moore injured or was he simply hauled-off?) and the little Turk doesn't get a game when Parker and Butt are injured, so that would make sense on that score as well - plus he's foreign, of course. Aside from that, I can't see it being Milner, Harper, Butt or Taylor, because all four can hardly be blamed for "not trying", especially Harper (being a 'keeper) - which obviously leaves us with Martins, Duff, Solano and Carr. Now, Martins and Duff are Roeder's signings but out of the four mentioned are surely ahead of Solano, at least, for players who don't "run" enough or "try enough". He seems to love Stevie Carr, as well, although perhaps his team selection against Chelsea will give us the answers. I certainly think Emre, Moore or N'Zogbia won't get a game and that will put those three beyond doubt, but if we don't see Carr either then I think you can add him to the list. For some reason I can't see Roeder telling one of "his" signings that he thinks they're a cunt, so it's down to Nobby and Carr for the "4th player" who was being "carried" and it will be interesting to see which (if either) of them are still here next season - although obviously I hope that player will be Solano. This whole thing is starting to smack of Souness versus Robert for me, though, as we seem to be moving towards a team of "grafters" again, rather than a team who play attractive football and who can accomodate some flair players into their line-ups. If Glenn thinks the likes of Emre and N'Zogbia are lazy, I'd love to have seen how he would have handled the old number 32, a player who runs half the distance of those two (while undoubtedly offering more in the goals/assists charts than our current pair.) These players simply are not playing for the manager, it just cannot be argued that they are. He's losing fans, he's losing the dressing room and he's losing the media - he's most definitely on the slippery slope. Worrying times, again, as I can see us bringing in 4/5 players of a similar nature to Steve Sidwell, making us perhaps even more boring to watch than we have been for the past few years. It will certainly be interesting to see how many squad players we have next season who aren't British/Irish, though, because the likes of Babayaro, Emre, Luque, Moore, N'Zogbia and Onyewu seem to be top of the list in Roeder's "sell/release" pile. I know it's not much of a measure for anything, but it's interesting nontheless as the bloke seems to be physically/mentally unable to handle/motivate a squad of players adequately - especially the ones who are from different cultures.
  4. The Times was wrong... again? Jesus wept.
  5. I heard it labelled as a "dipping shot on the run" from 25-yards, but that could be wide of the mark. There's something in that response that tells me you're an Alan Oliver fan! Glad someone caught it. And Yorkie, my source was nowt more than hearsay, from what I recall... might have been the Times, though, which is pretty much the same thing.

    The Return of the Ace

He was on the pitch on Monday, man. Wake up.

    The Return of the Ace

    Nursing a semi, tbh.
  9. Liverpool... Chelsea... then Man Utd. Don't read many papers, don't watch much SSN and I don't know any Liverpool/Chelsea fans. Won't suffer too much if it happens, but I have a Man Utd supporting mate who I haven't seen for a while, to be safe I'd like them to win it the least out of the English clubs. Couldn't give a toss about AC Milan. It's nice to be in a position where I can stomach other English teams doing well - I'm not sure I'd be quite the same if I was living/working with a mix of Southerners/glory-fans/etc. like I have in the past.
  10. Valencia are the only foreign club I'd say I "like". Don't mind Celtic much.

    Sell Dyer?

I'm very much looking forward to his testimonial. He really deserves it.
  12. ;D How did I miss this?

Am I alone in thinking this thread is going to go down a certain route?

I'd be interested to see how much net cash he spent on transfers during his time there while keeping them in the Premiership all the while.

Dear me. Where's this come from? SSN?
  16. NUFC.com never got that follow-up by the looks of it, but preston is right.
  17. http://home.socal.rr.com/kfa/images/kleenex.jpg I need them watching wor lot, the pain... OOhh.. i thought Scy ask you to do masturbate... here i got some vaseline spare You are fast becoming my most favourite poster on here and I mean that in all seriousness. The utter randomness of your posts is absolutely delightful. Keep up the good work. As for Ronaldo, Christ he was good again tonight. If he isn't the best in the world, he's certainly the best in the Premiership. He makes Rooney look positively ordinary by comparison.
  18. Good results tonight and entertainment from both matches, fair play to Man Utd and Chelsea - although the latter were utter dogshite to watch, as usual.
  19. You're talking shit, FACT. He's unfit tonight, isn't he?
  20. Fucking hell, that's how you play football. I will support any British club who plays like that on the continent - even fucking Spurs, simply outstanding. Chivu has been torn a new arsehole, basically. Think I'll do the decent thing and switch over to Chelsea for the second half.
  21. Honest? What a set of pricks. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/6538695.stm Doesn't sound like anything major, but it's definitely added more spice to the night. I'd better fook off downstairs. Enjoy it everyone, come on the reds.
  22. Cheers mate, fantastic response and exactly what I was after. Very interesting stuff and it does seem a shame that the partnership is splitting up, because it looks like it has been a highlight in a fairly dodgy few years. Like I've said, I think both would be an improvement on what we have, but Distin is probably more attainable. Cannot disagree with the comments that have said he'd be an excellent signing for us. Can't help but feel he'll go elsewhere, again.
  23. Been bother outside Old Trafford already, it's definitely made my mind up to watch that game ahead of Chelsea, despite my weird fondness of Valencia and David Villa, in particular.
  24. Wasn't just concerning that particular comment, tbh. Although, 15%-20% is quite a range, tbh.
  25. It will be interesting to see what effect the UEFA ruling does have, not that it effects us a great deal at present with the number of English/British players we currently have on our books. It will certainly be interesting to see if Wenger starts bringing in more domestic players now. Keep your eye open. Technically, as well, 25 people voted for change as opposed to 18 who said nothing should be done.
