  1. I'm struggling to put the disdain I have for this post into words, so here's a Michael Scott gif.
  2. Pope Trippier Schär Botman Targett Joelinton Guimarães Willock Gordon Isak Saint-Maximin If there's to be no change of shape, this is what I'd like to see at the weekend. Karius, Manquillo, Lascelles, Burn, Longstaff, Anderson, Murphy, Almirón, and Wilson on the bench.
  3. Sixth and a cup final would be a tremendous season, but I'm not ready to give up on finishing in the top four just yet. It's still in our hands. If we can get even a fraction of last season's defiance back into the team/crowd and treat each individual game as we did then (15 cup finals, blah blah), we can still get more points than both Spurs and Liverpool will manage between now and the end of the season. Feel like we really just need to dust waselves doon and get back to basics, and we'll be grand.
  4. Can I please have some of what you were clearly on at Wembo, SP?
  5. I’m clearly still fragile after yesterday, but this got me good. Fucking cunt.
  6. Thank fuck for this post. I’ve been questioning my sanity since the match ended, just couldn’t believe what I’d been a part of in the one place in the stands where the atmosphere should have been generated. Haven’t felt that alienated since the SP days, honestly. The whole Wembley “experience” once through the turnstiles was pretty shocking, mind. Waited 45 minutes for a pint around 90 minutes before k/o. It was like they weren’t expecting there to be a demand for a beer.
  7. Stifler, man, it's not Froggy coming across as being odd here.
  8. Would love to see him given a run on the right with Trippier behind him, but not sure it’ll ever happen. Simplify his game further, get him on the ball and beating players then being on his strong foot to deliver.
  9. Everywhere else around London has been great and even on the Tube back and waiting on Wembley Way people were having a bit of a sing song in a good natured way, but I do just think a lot were crippled by emotion in some form in the stadium. It was surreal.
  10. Was it class despite the result, then? Glad it all seemed to go off without a hitch, some boy @BlazeT44. Hope your Mam enjoyed it.
  11. I was in safe standing and can confirm that the atmosphere in our end was dire. I was in disbelief, as were quite a few around who were trying to get things going with us. Either people were tuckered out after winning the Trafalgar Square Trophy or just didn’t think we had a prayer/were too nervous to fully engage, but it was the weirdest/most disappointing crowd I can recall being a part of. Only have Cardiff to compare it to in terms of a big, one-off game on neutral ground, but it wasn’t even close to the same level. There wasn’t a single rendition of Blaydon Races, was there? At least everyone waved the flags at the end, though, when the game was already gone.
  12. Have a class time, looking forward to hearing about it after the victory mist subsides.
  13. I could do with a Carabao, actually. Oh, and HOWAY THE LADS! EDDIE HOWE’S BLACK AND WHITE ARMY!

Aye, I’ve come round to a Lobby winner now. Lampard style again, ideally. He just seems sound as fuck.
  15. You’d be better off spending your pounds in Blue Velvet, @Mike.
  16. Want to criticise them for that, but think it's a smart move. Should be some atmosphere tomorrow and will be visually stunning.
  17. Can't imagine Fraser would've been too chuffed to be named on the bench down at Bournemouth, but it's clear he's had no future here for a good while now.
  18. 25 of our 34 league games this season have now been selected for TV (74%).
