Ljungberg has had problems with injuries the last couple of seasons. Before this he was amazing though. Its hard to say weather he will come back to his old self, I doubt it though. Maybe Ljungberg could be converted to a right back. He is good at defending and especially one on one situations. Doubt that this would appeal to him, maybe if it means he can stay in London. He probably wont come up to toon. But I might be wrong, I read an interview with him a while back where he stated that ST James´s was the best stadium and definately the noiciest with amazing fans...

They're back up players to boost an already weak squad, what were you expecting? im sure if they were to sign it would be better choice than zat knight roedent wanted... What about the transferkitty of 45 mil. the Ashleymoney , the spending spree .... Cacapa I have seen and hes ok but nothing for the ambitions we havw. Jaures I dont now so much about. I would like as to get some known quality aswell as a few chances..

The Ashley era will be amazing. Me like this summer!!!
-
Im sceptic about theese players, we should definately aim higher.
-
Send Barton to some buddist monistry over the summer, now that would be anger managment..

Still, it would be interesting to see if SA can get Dyer going. Give him a new injection, maybe try him in tha right back position as mentioned yesterday. But if we can get good money for him, we should sell.
-
How much can we get for him? 5 mil?
-
Id be quite happy with ben Haim, Rozehnal, Taylor as central defenders. But id like us to get someone more versatile in. Someone who can play both out wide and in the central defence. Kaladze?

I really like the idea of Beckham as a right back. I beleive he could be fantastic in the position. Weve seen it a few times in Real.
-
Interesting post, I dont agree though. I beleive that a player can stay in one of the bigger leagues to become one of the greats. He still has to prove himself on the international level though. I think that Gerrard has proven in the PL and the CL that he is a fantastic player. To be one of the greats he has to lead England to some fantastic results aswell.

This can be Dyers chance to get a place in the england team. He doesnt stand a chance to be in the side when hes a midfielder.
-
I like this idea. Give Kieron a run of games in the position and challenge him to make the place his both in NUFC and in England.

Wow! This was a surprise. Thought Lippi was getting the job. Lippi for city? ;-)
-
Denmark-Sweden was an incredible game! Tha danes made an impressive comeback after being down 0-3 and then .... Johan Elmander was fantastic and would be a perfect player for NUFC. Michael Gravgaard didnt impress me at all thogh,, as mentioned before - he had a brambleesque evening...
-
and Bramble will send them down! No doubt!
-
I rate Gamst higher than Duff + he is a man for the future. Though, we are very well covered in Duff and Zog so this should definately not be a priority.
-
Since Im swedish I'll watch Denmark-Sweden , its gonna be a tough derby and I beleive it will be a good game. Players to watch more closely for NUFC-fans are Johan Elmander and Michael Gravgaard. Both could be excellent signings for us.
-
If we can swap Duff for him i would be interested.
-
What happened to our interest in the dane Gravgaard? I keep hearing very good things about him. Tomorrow I will se Denmark play against Sweden, its gonna be interesting. Apparantely he is called "Copenhagen Air Force"

Good sale - Get Appiah in as replacement!
-
Havent seen him so much, but from what ive heard he seems good
-
In modern football a free role playmaker is too much of a luxury. A team needs players that can function in several roles, this is extra important for central mids. Appiah - Yaya Toure would be magnificent!
-
Deco is rumoured to be on the move. I know we probably dont stand a chance of getting him but he would be perfect. Big Sam has managed to bring in som spectacular names before, now with a bigger budget - maybe he can make us surprised! ;-)
-
Yaya Toure ? Was a big hype before the world cup but since then I havent heard much. I've seen a few clips and he looks very skilled. Strong and physical but also fast and strong technique.
