Shearer may well be proved to be correct but last season was disrupted by injuries and so far this season we played with 10 min for over 60 mins and one poor away performance. Far too early to tell

I wouldn’t want his job. He has a very strict budget thanks to PSR he could quite easily go fuckin and pay what Palace want for Guehi and that leaves us nothing for a winger and he isn’t helped by the fact our deadwood is shite and no one wants them. Sadly if Tosin signed on a free for us instead of Chelsea I’d imagine our window would have looked so much different and pretty much be sorted by now

Both now first team players at other clubs signed Hall who looks quality but not sure Howe trusts him yet signed Ruddy for absolutely no reason signed the Greek fella to get the Anderson deal down and immediately look up loan him out signed Osula who is a gamble having not yet scored a PL goal Kelly looks a decent signing for free With no one else in the two key areas identified by the club haven’t been improved and not some single deadwood player out the door. 4/10 is generous

I’ve said your last line there a few times this summer. Totally agree. You only have to look at other sides with a strong front 3. Even palace with eze one side and Olise the other was frightening. I like Murphy he isn’t terrible but I’m so tired of seeing attacks down the right come to nothing

Only way we were strong down the right was because of Trippier. Hopefully the fact miggy only got a handful of minutes today is we really want him out
