Fairly standard tight, cagey local derby.

He's definitely a prospect, and with careful management he could make it. But we've said that before...

You did okay today PM When you say huge with Sam Ameobi next to him who is about the same build, them two are going to destroy the U18 league this year. Thanks mate The two of them wouldn't be bad basketballers to be honest. I am glad you posted that I am going to go & watch the Eagles play tonight & I had forgotten all about it. I like the football at this level as you can hear the communication from the benchs, refs & players. Are refs at the top level as vocal? Watching the U16's last week & U18's this week I feel the refs are giving the players advice rather than just telling them laws of the game, which I think is great. It varies from referee to referee really, depending on personal style. The referee today was superb talking-wise, and it helped him keep a firm grip on the game right from the off. In the past in that fixture we've seen red cards, managers sent off, the lot. Today there was absolutely no danger of that whatsoever. A classic example of the opposite uncommunicative stance is our old favourite (and now FA Head of Refereeing) Neale Barry, who just never ever spoke to players. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but that was his style.

The bloke is huge, and his jump is unbelievable. "I wasn't offside, what are you talking about?" are words that will stick with me forever....

Sky have got the best deal with Dermot Gallagher, he's putting forward a very fair opinion every time and not just blindly backing his mates. I don't think there's any coincidence he was possibly the best respected referee during his time. I never doubted for a second Poll would back his mate.

Well done Habib Beye for being better than Carr, Hughes and Griffin. Picking the bones again, then. Class counter-argument. I can't take seriously what you're saying about him tonight, so i'll just ask: what've you got against him like? The fact that he's not a particularly good crosser of the ball? That for me, is his only real weakness. I've got nothing against him apart from I don't think he's that good. If Steven Taylor made that tackle in the box then reactions would be completely different, fair enough he got a slight touch on the ball but you can't make tackles from behind anywhere on the pitch so to make one in the penalty box is daft. wasn't from behind in that sense Of course it was from behind, unless his leg bends the other way. the tackle was with his right and doesn't hit the back of the player. the trailing leg doesn't his the player at all. technically not classed as a tackle from behind. wheres mosely when you neede him ? Mosely reckons it won't be rescinded. Talked to him in the pub after the game. wait till he's watched it a couple of more times and i've threatened him I think it was wrong but I don't think they'll rescind it...

Good shout...Albert Stubbins.

Vidic elbowed Jason Brown in the head, Wes Brown heads into net. Bennett gives nothing.

What was his other son called? Neale McDermott? Yup.
-
Possibly the worst decision I've ever seen.

Funny, I remember us getting top billing as KK got his first win against Fulham.

I just read through this entire thread for the first time. It's a masterpiece.

Which 6.5% think we're going to win silverware like?!

It felt nothing like a match night walking through town like. Even my metro in wasn't full to bursting like usual.

It's coming on Goals on Sunday in a moment.

Ah, the old "the word on the soccer grapevine" line. Heard that one from Anal before...
-
My thoughts exactly. It's Crouch's goal. They got it spot on on MOTD last night.
