I think most of that debt has been sat there since he bought the club and cleared their debts.

Definitely not how it works. It’s revenue against spend. There are ways to artificially inflate revenue (moody sponsorship deals etc) but you can’t just pump external money in for player purchases. That’s the whole point really. you can spend 400 million on players, wracking up huge debts in order to do so and then have it all payed off by a benevolent billionaire but it still needs to balance against the club revenues in a given 3 year period. Thats my understanding anyway.

Hopefully some sort of goals scored add on and a promotion add on attached to this one.

The only type of loss we care about is in relation to FPP. With amortisation we could sell for less in a few years time and break even as far as FPP is concerned. Our owners don’t care about losing 10 million quid on player over 2 or 3 years.

Aye this is dream territory

If this was at the early stages/still negotiating a price with the club then surely the agent wouldn't be in Newcastle?

Definitely an interesting point. Shame we don’t have anywhere near his quality on the bench; this 5 subs rule really will just widen the gap (again) between the top and bottom.

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to Tour Singapore

Wilson and Joelinton had decent efforts. Shelvey skied one under no pressure & Anderson made himself a half decent opening for a long range effort but straight at the keeper and lacked power. Off the top of my head. -
Shelvey represents what we should be doing all over the pitch. Signing quality (Bruno) and they drop down to back up. Tripper and Krafth seems a good result as well. Now just need a couple in the final 1/3.

Is that 3pm UK time? -
Daft to sell him now. If he performs again at the same level his value will remain the same, if he has a fantastic season it will rocket.
-
I’m excited to see what Howe can get out him. I probably lean towards a minor improvement but there’s a genuine chance he has a phenomenal season.
-
Yep, some silly money flying about.

And on top of that the other deal we had on the table was in that region (Ekitike).

So much more enjoyable on mute, he'll be giving us stats on Tindells left bollock by the end of the game. -
If they think he’s a level above what we can currently recruit and also falls into the category of a position we would ideally improve next summer I think they’ll pull the trigger now while we can get him and use budget from summer 2023. With FFP there is quite a lot flexibility. The ‘budget’ may well be for the positions they’ve identified for this season. Paqueta might be a too good to pass and paid for outside of the arbitrary budget for this summer. pure guesswork like

A mate got 500th and an error message when it ticked to his turn. He re-queued and when he eventually got on it was like Wack-a-mole with seats popping up as available for a split second but being taken by someone else logged in. Not sure if he gave up or they sold out but he didn’t manage to get one.

Build a golf course and the Saudis can pay a small fortune to the club to host LIV events there
