He has got things in his locker and ocassionally he does very good things, but most of the time as one of our main offensive outlets he runs down blind alleys or overhits the cross. I will say though it normally takes a season or so to aclimatise to the PL. But in all reality I'm a little dissapointed in him. Maybe he needs to practice shooting and medium passing more...I don't know... You're on to something here Parky...
  2. The idea obviously is to force the clubs to improve the coaching for kids.... Will be bad for smaller national teams such as my own Finland....less chances to get players in the top leagues
  3. Population of India & China ? Whose economy is growing(or not shrinking) at the fastest rate..?? Why are the Germans placing car plants in China..?? Would the EU like to take on either country(let alone the USA)in a military contest? They can't even let their troops out to do soldiering in Afghanistan,,, Whose population is ageing fastest and have a huge demographic Pension problem??? IF you look at realities, you begin to see why Disraeli talked about 'lies, damned lies & statistics' Oh, and who did Hilary Clinton rush off to see first? wasn't the EU... China is even more fucked than EU & US because their economy is based on us buying crap from them

  5. How? And how do you know? Because the ref made him move it after he had stepped up to take it. Ahh fair enough
  6. I disagree with that actually. They should apply a possibility to extend the ban in some cases. Like when Guthrie went berserk....things like that need to be punished harder imo..
  7. No, not really. Had Anichebe's leg been snapped, as it could easily have been, would you feel the same. Say Lee Cattermole does that to Jonas and snaps his leg, would people feel the same? Doubt it like. Doubt it all you want... It was clumsy and he got there late. And for these things we have red cards.... Clumsy In my time playing football I did a number of clumsy things, but a two footed lunge was not among them. You don't just magically find yourself sailing through the air with your two feet together, about to stomp on some fucker. I'm sure he was intending to get the ball, but that's no excuse. Two footed tackles are outlawed for a reason. As a professional footballer, he has a duty to his other pros to not do what he did yesterday. He tried to get himself between the ball and Anichebe. Thought it was quite obvious. I certanly wouldnt say he went in to stomp Anichebe on purpose....

  9. What I think he was trying to do is get between the ball and Anichebe, and turn his back so Anichebe would run into his arse. He saw Anichebe loose control and tried to get between him and the ball. Now Anichebe just managed to stretch his leg, get the ball and be hit by Nolan... It wasn't the smartest thing to do and deserved red for sure but it was just unlucky in the end that Anichebe managed to stretch his leg under Nolan's tackle.

  12. Went back home but he was told we will continue checking him out
  13. Why on EARTH would we ever wait so long to try to do these sort of deals (whether they are half-decent players or not is another matter). What is wrong with January 1st or January 2nd? (rather than February 1st or February 2nd) Maybe these guys were not first choice targets
  14. How can you say he was immense when he's crossing and passing was woeful.... He has so much trouble making even the simplest passes
