Skimmed shouldn't count tbf. Balls must deviate their trajectory by more than 10 degrees to have said to have hit the woodwork.
-
They calculated the loss of paying out and decided it's not as much as the loss of earnings from the bad press. Didn't know that was a rule, or indeed if it's common to all bookies. Woodwork is woodwork though that's crazy.

Being able to dive with impunity is kinda ridiculous. Yet to see someone get two yellows for simulation in the same match which is a shame. Some disincentive, eh.

Barca to qualify at 9/1 seems pretty short given the circumstances Skinflint bookies.

Name your firstborn Cristiano.

Well ahead, but first time I post such a bet on the forum - two get hooked, one gets a goal disallowed and the other fails to convert 3 chances

10 each on Defoe, Aguero, Sterling and Yaya for next goalscorer
-
Gerrin, had £22 on sane as next goalscorer (as well as Sterling and Aguero). £209 return

Why does Sterling always try to beat his man twice? Final ball is often not very good too.

Defended for 85 minutes out of the 90. Soft, but deserved, pen for a the first. Incredible ball by Jonjo and clever finish by Murphy for a the second. Defending first half was a comfy. s*** second half. They had way too much threat and we offered no response. Stupid penalty given away by Shelvey. Horrid final ten until Gayle scored. Their keeper f***ed up. They barely created a thing bar the penalty Darlow wasn't worked, but they were getting in nice positions, we looked increasingly jaded and a Diame-esque goal or a sloppy penalty conceded are never far away in that situation IMO with so much time left on the clock.

Stuck £20 of my winnings on Ritchie FGS at 7/1. Class day.

Thought we approached the game much better after they halved the defiict. Give them something to think about, chase less, keep some energy. Would never trust NUFC to park the bus even if we had 11 Maldinis out there. Good grafting performance with a sprinkling of quality here or there that made the difference. Huddersfield are horrible, really hope they don't go up. Glad to have helped Hughton, Brighton et al as well as ourselves with that result. Very pleased for Murphy. Was already very confident two games ago, remain so. Still concerned about the long term as ever. Enjoying the moment though and creased at Gayle's goal. Brilliant stuff.

Learnt very little from Brighton's mistakes on Monday tbh

Deeney FGS and the stolen Leicester/Bayern/Real treble happy days
-
We were shocking in the reverse fixture and were out-fought. If we set that right I'll be happy.

I've thought relations between NUFC and Brighton have been fairly cordial. Hope they go up too.

He isn't the quickest, but I thought his presence in the box made a big difference. It was good to have a focal point for attacks, and someone who you felt could realistically get on the end of balls put into the box. He had a header from a corner straight at their keeper, a flicked header tipped round the post and generally made a nuisance of himself without really needing to use much pace. Maybe I'm going a bit far, but I think it also made our playmakers (I use the term very liberally :lol;) a little less tentative about putting balls in the box as well when they were in good positions. In the absence of Gayle, I wouldn't mind a Gouff/Murphy combo up top.

I don't think there is much of a long term future for "this" squad. Obviously there'll still be a fair few players still here next season, but I do think that shift and add plenty in the summer. Maybe. Bit of a broken record player, but I am sceptical of what can be achieved in a single window - and how quickly a significantly altered team could hit the ground running next season without having played together for at least half a season. Especially our defensive unit.

I thought Brighton started really well but were very sloppy. Hope Hughton has a word with his diving striker too.
