I for one am shocked.

He doesn't He's superimposed his rationale for why he thinks he ought to have won on to the voters.

Is goal line technology used in the FA Cup yet? As in, at every ground etc? Not sure how this would work logistically, if they can't apply the same refereeing standards to Morecambe vs Bristol City as Man Utd vs Watford. They would be better off doing it in the PL IMO, if this is the direction they want to go in. Offsides and goal-line technology are the only ones which I can see as being empirically measurable beyond doubt. Also, mistaken identity I suppose. Everything else is and always will be subjective. Even so-called 'stonewall penalties'. I'd much prefer if retrospective subjectively-assessed punishments were handed out for diving*, everything else is just intrinsically part of the game. * - even that is tricky, because at present only something which a broadcaster highlights would be up for review by the panel responsible for deciding whether a player dived. As we all know, Sky and the BBC have biased idiot pundits. It sounds silly, but having non-media staff whose job it was to search for simulation would be better. They'd then submit each case to the 'diving' panel for adjudication and sentencing.

On the other hand it's a lovely stadium, he'd play on a huge stage and entertain a lot of people given the chance. Toxic people though.

I know it's super unlikely but I really hope he never goes to RM. That cunthole is the absolutely worst place for a player like HBA to be. After NUFC.

Financially speaking, how could/will the Premier League bubble finally burst? A withdrawal of the ludicrous TV money leaving them with inflated wage bills which they can't sustain? When Sky paid the £5bn+ they did last time I wondered how they'd justify such expenditure, and surely the sum will have to reverse at some point.

You'd think the utter loathing would recede over the years. Turns out it doesn't. I can't remember how it started with you and him. Was it the sideways passing/his lack of heart, the goldfish bowl comment or did he repeatedly run over your cat?

Jenas has announced his retirement from football. I mean, he didn't really need to say it He stopped playing quite young, but feel a bit old having witnessed his entire playing career pass me by (sideways, of course).

Not sure any of those 4 could salvage my faith in the fan base (as a whole). Past the point of no return in a way.

Fabianksi heading narrowly wide at the end the Swansea-Man Utd game

Arsenal refusing to take it to the corner flag has been beautiful. Fully deserved champions elect. (Largely shit today, but the right footballing philosophy).

This is the crux of it for me too. The only guarantee is that we won't get the club back if we stay up. I'd risk any club-related alternative to that certainty.

Good group of lads. Will bounce back.

Awful news, but lovely hearing all your fond memories of him and seeing your photos with the guy. In particular, tooj's pic with Pav's big flop of hair and BG's pic where Pay seems incredulous to find someone taller than him Part of a very special and exciting time for the club and the region. He'll be sorely missed but remembered in the highest regard. Thoughts obviously with those closest to him.

Thought of Monreal, but one too many full-backs in a flat back three Too Garth-y for me. Complete dearth of decent CBs.

I'd have Deolofeu ahead of Kante. Probably Ighalo > Kane too, given that Kane has only recently got form back.

Not sure about that. The league is rubbish and Norwich/Bournemouth could easily go down with Villa (who have all but assured their Championship berth) and the mackems. In any case, 7 points out of the last 15 available may be enough evidence for Ashley that things are moving in the right direction without further need for his intervention. Two more points might have been had but for late-ish goals also (ignoring performances/deservedness etc). It'd be a gamble on his part, but one I think he is tight enough to take a punt on.

I think Arsenal seem pretty adept at breaking down teams that park the bus from minute one. If NUFC try to offer no real counter-attacking threat (ie. which for NUFC translates to no numbers going forward) I can't see them failing to pick NUFC off 2-0 then conserving their energy for the remainder of the busy Winter calendar. If NUFC try to fight fire with fire, they'll get decimated (like Leicester did vs Arsenal).

Would love if he took the record.
