Leicester are champions elect so of course this losing run doesn't matter. They faced them the previous 12 matches too.

"This place has been a banana skin in the past and typical of Crystal Palace. Our history is littered with upsets against the odds, that’s what this club is about. They have had almost the perfect season, it doesn’t always come all the way through that perfect run, maybe their blips are to come. We’ll see.” Psychology and Seaworld tactics run amok again.

And how to hold the ball up And how to win free kicks And how to hit a quick snapshot. He seems a nice guy, but he's shown precious little quality in any (meaningful) department really.

Arsenal (and other fans) who believe they will do better without him are delusional. Hope he stays, but will enjoy watching them become Man Utd with less money after he leaves. I agree with Cronky's assessment. With the injuries they seem to pick up (plus a lack of depth up front and at CB), two big competitions stretches then way too thin - exacerbated by generally being in the domestic cup competitions in the later stages. It's nowhere even close to "sackable" but Wenger's judgment when it comes to Giroud has been poor. He did astutely try for Suarez though. Would have won by a absolute countrymile this season.

Lately seem to play well without presenting much goal threat to the mackems. The side eventually concedes and collapses like a pack of cards. With Mitrovic leading the line, I don't feel massively confident about the first part of that storyline changing (but may get lucky, who knows). Hopefully Benitez ensures the second part is more remote though. Can see it being a draw.

The emphasis Benitez puts in the team over individuals is so edifying, the hallmark of a top manager and the complete antithesis of what we've had since Hughton. It yields the best results.
