  1. People with shit shoes shouldn't throw stones I guess
  2. Who'd walk around with Wonga on their clothing if they weren't paid to?
  3. It should be this way, you are absolutely right. It won't be in the eyes of many, it'll be a 'redemptive' move I fear.
  4. Would have preferred one of the other two but glad he's gone. (d'uh). Hopefully not a token move to placate the fans who are currently jacking in their STs by removing a twat who has no role (other than in title) at the club.
  5. I think reality will probably see him closer to Taraabt than Hazard, but that he could have been Hazard-calibre had he made a different career move than our ship of the damned a few years ago
  6. I think HBA would be as good or not far off Hazard in the right set up. I really do, but it's an opinion which can easily be mocked - which I begrudgingly accept. It feels like HBA has been here a depressingly long time without getting a run of games in the side at RM. And even then I do genuinely believe he is handicapped by Pardew, our ever-changing "tactics" and our lack of other creative outlets/movement. You look at his passing second half Norwich, and some of the chances he creates which poor players like Cisse and Ameobi can't do anything with, and you wonder what could be. I suspect I'll never have more than conjecture to support my opinion, but I really think he could be a full-on consistently devastating badass somewhere else.

    José Mourinho

they've been trying to paint themselves in that corner even talking of FFP and how City aren't complying with it-ignoring the 10 years of abramovich putting in around 1 billion pounds I know, bit barmy, but ended up going for them - quite comfortable countering in the end tonight, I thought.
  8. I think Silva's had a great season overall. Been in and out with injuries/suspension etc, but been instrumental when on - albeit with less media fanfare around him.

    José Mourinho

People dislike him, but he does the business. Funny how this is almost being painted as a David vs Goliath win though Chelsea aren't exactly paupers themselves
  10. No Fernandinho - even for Citeh, that's a big blow. Draw I reckon.
  11. Has Neymar's statement on his father been mentioned here yet? He's bonkers!
  12. What a fucking mug. Binning it, fuck them.

  14. Happy - cf. "Meaningless barb" An RTGesque argument pointing at a season with low attendance with no context (whether raised by .com or a less credible source)? Is that all?
  15. Spot on. We will of course though see in this thread the vacuous argument that being a supporter means going to matches regardless of any circumstance and that it is even somehow admirable to actively enable those who take the p*ss out of you. Which is akin to some sort of retarded old military romanticism like charging at machine guns. Nice analogy. Supporting through thick and thin captures a lot - being fucked over by refs, blowing your last chance at silverware or success for what you expect will be an unforeseeably long time etc... but it doesn't include funding/supporting a management structure which seeks to deny you the opportunity to even feel such nadirs/injustice or makes you ashamed of the club. I'd personally even go as far to argue its incumbent upon fans who support what I perceive to be the values of the club, to turn your back on those who seek to make it into the pathetic sponsorship vehicle it is (/becoming). Supporting your club does not exclusively occur through the emptying of your wallet into Ashley's collection sack and obsequiously watching and passively swallowing whatever they serve (reminder: if this Cisse deals go through, Shola is our owned first-choice striker), and I'd wager a lot of the fans who aren't renewing find it quite agonising to stay away. I wouldn't call them fairweather fans (or whatever meaningless barb you want) at all. I've never been a ST and if that invalidates my opinion, so be it - but I miss coming up to Newcastle the handful of times I go every season and I'd much prefer to go than stay away.
  16. Goodness me, I hope that interview was humiliating and demeaning for him as it sounds. Cake for my eyes, that.
  17. Catering is tied into match day income, if nobody turns up they don't sell food. Club tat and revenue from being televised too (they won't broadcast empty stadiums IMO).
