Yeah, that probably falls under one of the miscellaneous categories above. I just don't think it tallies up with wanting the best for the football of the club. That's my believes, anyway.

Fans are like shareholders with no actual voting power. They fund a substantial part of the club, but get no official say on the running of the club. Their ongoing financial support should only really be continued if they feel like they get a return on their investment, or the management demonstrate a genuine ambition to provide the desired return: ie - good football, on-field success etc I have no idea why any fan who actually cared about the footballing prospects of the club would continue to finance Ashley's complete mutilation and hijacking of the club into his personal corporate advertising vehicle. I do think Deuce is right though, in that some fans will just go because they've always gone, or because they're not that fussed, or for social reasons, or that they either see no direct correlation between their support and the miserly returns it enables, or they're naive/optimistic/want to believe so badly that they just ignore what they see (Pardew/Kinnear etc) and hope beyond hope for the best.

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I'm finally considering cancelling my season ticket. No refunds but you can cancel it. Did you cancel or just not commit to buying a new one, JF?

Nile Ranger as Deputy to the above. Mike Williamson promoted to 'Jumping Training captain', a new role.

Stop giving them money is a good start IMO. It won't guarantee anything, but there are few guarantees in life.

The idea of Joe Kinnear bursting into his office and trying to have a footballing conversation with Pardew is actually quite funny. Pardew, head in hands, sighing at every other utterance, muttering "you know even less than me ffs".
-
Can't Controle is back on the table now, I believe.
-
Why? He's as much a part of the regime as Llambias.
-
Disagree. I think Kinnear is the first line of defence to get blamed if/when next season begins poorly.

This is how bad this appointment is. Haz has conceeded Hell might be real. Bringing out some good self-deprecation and comedy from the forum if nothing else .

Di Canio 0-3 Liverpool 0-6 Joe Kinnear re-hired, to an even loftier position The Mackems have usurped God

Shirts and season tickets are still selling, sadly.

This has to be some money laundering mechanism or some shit. Who would appoint Joe Kinnear as DoF? I would have second thoughts about hiring him as a janitor.

 Fair play to Douglas. A completely appropriate and understandable reaction. Ranks up there with Aston Villa paying for McCleish. The kind of move that gives you genuine pause for thought as to why self-sabotage would benefit Ashley.
-
Well thank fuck for that

Joe Kinnear

Unbelievable goal from Neymar (just saw the highlights). There's something about Brazil, man.

Couldn't disagree more. A good keeper is immensely valuable. Especially if you haven't got a great defence (and virtually no one in the league does, at the minute).
