True, but their keeper pulled off quite a few good saves, tipping the ball round the post, before you put it to bed. Should be a fun end to the season, anyway.
-
Thought you managed the end of that game very well tbh. Wolves looked rudderless, struggling to get out of their half with the ball, and positively sheepish past the halfway line.
-
Still not writing him off, but he is my pet peeve I think I definitely am forming a bias against the guy. Got unreasonably pissed off at him for getting dispossessed. The fucker just does not know when to release the ball.
-
He's got an ankle injury I think.

I think it's a fair criticism. It doesn't mean the side should be consigned to the dustbin forever, but it's fair to acknowledge their was a lack of control in the play which we know the side is capable of - and that we played Leeds' game, not ours. It's all good as far as I'm concerned, they need to learn play big matches with high stakes. * - only saw second half
-
How was the Isak and Wilson experiment in the first half?

Only saw the second half but that was a bottling performance. Couldn't match the intensity or physicality of a clogger team. Played their game instead of ours. Fair play to Leeds for their desire.
-
I would. He's not going to unpick a defence which is sitting back, Almiron has a chance at least.

Glad it's an early kick off. Had the taste of the Arsenal game in my mouth for too long. Unfortunately first half clashes with a birthday party for a classmate of my 4 year old. So I'll be slyly watching it on my phone as I continue my avoidance of making any parent friends.

Great game. That Tchoumeni hit, man. For fucks sake.

Still think Citeh should have played Haaland, like.
-
NUFC have played some great football this year. I look some of the play tonight though, and it makes our side look like Steve Bruce is still in charge. There's so far to go.
-
Citeh should bring on Haaland.

Bit much. Man City are ludicrous, is all. Not so ludicrous as to not partake in this fun annual ritual of thinking the CL is in the bag prematurely, hopefully.
-
Such little backswing, right.
-
He's unreal. Even that ball earlier between Ederson and Ruben Dias that Dias just cut out was crazy accurate.
-
HAHAHHA. I love it.

A fresh ASM likes this.
-
I reckon he was surprised he had to dive at it given a) it wasn't particularly fiercely struck and b) went straight at Botman.
-
Very annoying thinking about how soft that first goal was. Not even a great strike.

Two evenly-ish matched teams. Could have lost by more, could have edged three points. Bit of inexperience, bit of an underpar performance. But we also got lucky Saka didn't show up, and Arsenal weren't clinical in front of goal. Didn't really like Wilson and Isak together from the off. Wasted our best player on an island. Some ponderous performances from Joelinton, Willock and Murphy at times. Trippier too. Can only surmise some of the lackadaisical play was a function of fatigue after starting off with that intensity. Goals change games. The first made it an uphill battle with how open we were defensively. The second one took the remaining wind out of our sails, although fair play to the team for keep plugging away. Maybe a useful result in the grand scheme of things to ensure we don't go into the off-season thinking we're title challengers next year without further investment.

Gordon's done nowt so far to suggest he's ready for this game IMO. He'd be a liability right now.
