Great strike and save!

Looking good.

Is that Vialli with Mancini?

Body blow.

Very refreshing to see some non-superpower nation's playing some really nice stuff in the knockout stages. Not just hanging on, defending and spawning - but moving the ball around well.

The #metoo movement completely bypassed the cameraman's association of major football tournaments They're like horny snipers

Bale stole that off someone who would have scored IMO.

I think they are properly rattled, to use an SMBism, at how outgunned they have are. All the pre-match talk about them being ruthless looks particularly silly.

Savage losing what little professionalism he has in the build up

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

This could very well be over before the break.

Denmark look really good. Not sure if it's because they're facing Wales. Consistently incisive passes and problematic crosses. Good vision. Really impressed.

Wew. Denmark dominating Wales, highly deserved goal.

He sat a defender down then had a shot on goal last game didn't he?

Why would you sit on a football? How is that comfortable?

Immense from Hungary

CRonaldo is amazing. I know they're pens, but the pressure is crazy.

Sanches vs Kante is a great battle

It was another cracker of a goal

Entertaining watch from what I saw, but that's understandably probably of little solace to you.

Surprising insight from Sterling interview: Priority 1. Be solid Priority 2. Do something in the final third

You can't say England didn't put in a shift to get this result, so well done for that. But the whole philosophy and ethos of the team is so pathetically unambitious given the talent they have at their disposal. There is just no vision or gameplan to dominate lesser teams. You get the impression the reason they have such tepid off the ball movement when in possession, is because they want to retain their defensive discipline if they lose the ball. The thing is, there's just no point in not growing though. They'll get cut to ribbons when they face tournament favourites. It's just all heart and no brains.

Oh, how embarrassing Harry.
-
Thought Sterling was decent. Probably the best off the ball movement of any England player tonight.

It's hilarious how the scoreline impacts upon the analysis of the game. Without that goal, which stemmed from Saka running at people, Dixon et al would be panning England's movement. Because it's 1-0, they're watching 1970s Brazil here.
