The gulf in class at full-back position, man. Bitter pill to swallow this defeat lark, innit. Interesting to see how/if Santon is phased in ahead of Raylor. It'd seem rather flippant of Pardew to bring him immediately, and would destroy Raylor's very fragile confidence - think we might have to wait until Raylor picks up a knock before Santon gets a chance to establish himself in the side.

Fantastic game. Man City players began backing off him when he had the ball. Desperately unlucky not to get that in off the post.

Very, very proud of that performance. Well done

You're not watching? o.O He's been okay. Pegged back like everyone else. Useful pace to relieve pressure at times, but not in sync with the team, and his left peg keeps sending in slow bobbling shots to Hart. Not sure if he's trying to cross it or not - but he should be. He'd be the first player I brought off at this rate. Well, after Raylor.

Probably a goal if his hand ain't there. With Krul about, I'm not sure. Have to see a replay again. Not his fault for that one IMO. That kinda stuff just happens, and when they're firing in as many balls into our box as they were it was bound to happen. Could just as easily been Colo, Saylor or Simpson. His overall play has been particularly poor though.

Agree with Disco re: paying them too much respect. Though obviously now they're in the lead, they're counter attacking will be a lot more relaxed and efficient. Really frustrating to lose the goals as we did. It would almost have been easier to take if it had been a bit of unstoppable quality rather than a penalty and Raylor. Really annoying. Makes me wonder why we were all looking forward to this game

Two best CBs in the league.

Would serve the ungrateful Arsenal fans who turned on him right. Feel bad for his supporters though.

RvP is the best player in the league. Such a class act.

To be fair, if anyone score late with their subs its Citeh. Dzeko got about 13 points from a 20 minute cameo the other day!
-
I actually love that.

Couldn't make it up. Silva will come on for a minute at the end to try and salvage a draw for them. He'll fail and get sent off. Edit: I took my captain's armband off RVP, apparently It's on Adebayor

Bit worried about Sammy covering Raylor, but I guess at this point it doesn't really matter
-
Blimey. That's some attacking ambition we've got there!
-
Calm down, Didier.

Second side: RVP @ evens.

Everyone has forgotten what defeat tastes like!

That's brilliant, but I already used up the 188bet bonus!

The lack of information regarding our injuries seems a little suspect to me. Best got knacked at Everton, but was ready to play Ireland's home leg, but for the birth of his child - so why would he now be unavailable again? Hope he starts anyway. No problem with Shola or HBA partnering Ba up front. Both offer different attributes and are capable of playing incredible or dogshit I'll give Pardew the benefit of the doubt as to who he chooses. So long as there is a second striker and we don't go 4-5-1. Right midfield is tricky too. All depends on our strategy, which I hope we try to stick to (as Pardew has mentioned).
