Emre was my MOM and world class last night, it all went right for him, i'm a huge fan and 90% of the critisism he's been geting lately has been way over the top and unjustified, he should score more goals i agree but i don't think you can question his effort and his set pieces are as good as you can reasonably expect i.e Superb - good most of the time . Thing is he'll be the new scapegoat like Robert was, unless it all goes 100% right for him again like last night. People on here will unfortunatly be expecting him to stand out like that everygame and score a world class goal every game and if he doesnt they think he's slacking/poor! Not even Ronaldinho or Rooney score goals like that all the time so give the little fella a break and appreciate his classy creative performances. p.s. never seen Emre play 'abysmal' for us once! Your making out he is alot !!! Your not backpeddling hard enough imo

Very good game, we created alot which was pleasing (especially solano Milner and Emre) Given 6.5 - One very good reflex save, coulden't do much about the goals . Nobby 7 - His passing, reading of the game and creativity from the back gives us another dimension. Unlucky with very fluky deflection. He must stay RB Taylor 7 - Strong when needed to be some vital interceptions too. Ramage 7 - See Taylor. we have to keep this partnership with taylor as they are easily our best two CB's Babayaro 5 - At fault for readings second, rusty or just plain poor, we will see in the next few games Milner 7.5 - Very creative and crossing very good too, can't belive some are saying he was poor! Butt 8 - Solid again. Emre 9 - MOM fanastic performace, very creative and absolutely cracking world class goal Zoggy 4 - Poor. Martins 7 - Really impressed by his workrate unlucky not to score more but a constant threat to Reading with pace and power. Sibierski 7.5 - He scored two (one incorectly ruled offside) could have scored 4 and set up Martins for his penalty and more! He's getting in the right places at the right time should have had a hatrick!

Bent is way too Similar to Martins! We need defenders first and foremost, a LB,RB and CB. Then a Big man CF. We'll probably sign Cole or SWP on loan though! Matty Taylor from Pompey (ideally), Dystin and/or Upson would do me. Although very doubtfull I'd love it if we could get Baptista on loan too .

Premiership is the best league in Europe imo Far from perfect though as i hate the outrageous wages the players get, lack of loyalty players show and the cheating is just a disgrace. Ways to improve would be for Fifa to cap wages, punish cheats after the game with a ban and fine and to bring in the long overdue video technology for big decisions that Ref's aren't 100% on i.e. penalties and sending offs.

yep they can have Shambles and we should loan out o'brien and possibly Troisi too. Maybe Nobby or Sibierski too or Moore if he decides to stay in the Prem.

Our only RB is bleedin Car!!! imo this is the position we need to fill the most!! Not bothered about Huntelaar or Emanuelson. We need players like Luke Young, wayne Bridge, Upson and Collins John sooner rather than later, no more Luque's and Boumsongs or any other big money gamble's for the time being thanks Lets get a decent squad and if our current manager has not turned things around for us by xmas its time to start looking for someone who can long term.

He's decent cover and has been decent enough for us, but no pace though which is something top class CB's need in the Premiership. Assumming/praying we are going to get another top class CB in Jan and get rid of Shambles too ASAP, i'd let him go at the end of the season. We also need another RB. Hopefully next season we'll have: New RB Huntingdon New CB Baba/Bernard New RB Taylor Ramage New LB Luke young, wayne Bridge and a top CB would be great. Taylor and Ramage have impressed me alot and i can't understand why some on here give them so much stick calling them crap and whatever when they are such fantastic prospects and already more than decent players. I'm really hoping to see how huntingdon does too, as i was surprised at how good Ramage and Taylor were when they were given their chance.

Exclent post armchair pundit!! I'm don't think its any coincidence that Shearer and Roeder did amazingly well together, then when Shearer leaves the good results leave to. Shearer is the man we need! Keegan had no expereince and he didn't do too bad did he? Klinsman and Van Basten had no experience either but found themselves in charge of their national teams last world cup and Klinsman did fantastically well. Why can't Shearer do the same for us ? You have to start somewhere and i'd definately take a gamble on Shearer!!

Give Roeder more time see how results go we'll have a clearer picture in Jan. Shearer if he can be persuaded would be awesome, hopefully like the Keegan era!!

We have Martins now so no! We need to give Martins a fair crack at it, if he doesn't do it for us then maybe. Charton need Bent to stay in the Prem so he won't be availiable till the end of the season. Luke young or Micha Richards though

Well ages ago!! imo Bar Robinson and arguably Kirkland who is injured alot he's the best english keeper, just unfortunate that Given's had such an incredible injury free run here.

just a quick point but why do you have a right winger on the left a left winger in the middle and a central midfielder on the right Milner seems to play better on the left, cutting inside like Joe Cole (not as good like), Dyers best position imo is Right wing or up front and Zoggy's plays better than the other two in the center. when we haven't got the ball its more of a 451 trying to get the ball back and when we have the ball its more of a 433 Dyer and Milner running into the channels up front with Martins.

agree with TEEPEE. A half fit Zidane or the likes in a World cup final you may risk, however an unfit Shola i think not. Nice to hear his passion for our cause though.

He's IS slow, clumbersome, hesitant, with terible lapses in concentration, thick and a terrible reader of the game, we should have got rid years ago, i woulden't play him in the reserves personally. He's cost us more games/points than any other player i can remember and playing with him must be very demoralising as the crowd are nervous evertime he goes near the ball (so are the players), he's been a cancer to our club, its definately long overdue and time to say goodbye and don't even be thinking about coming back!
