  1. When there was a poll are the beginning of the season, all but a few expected a big struggle this season. And now that we are struggling as everyone expected, the campaign to have another manager sacking has started. After 8 bloody games. Ridiculous. What did you think a difficult season looked like? Comfortable victories at home and the odd battering against the top 4? That is mid table form. And if he does get sacked for failing to get us comfortably mid table after 8 games, then who are we replacing him with?
  2. Serves Wigan right for sitting back and time wasting from for a full 45 minutes.
  3. So does he get credit for the two second half goals?
  4. One dimensional is an overstatement. Get ball, get ball to Jonas, lose ball.
  5. I thought undroppable Nolan was the problem. What the hell is going on?
  6. What an awful attitude. You were hugely unlucky on Sunday, yes. But how has your season been derailed? The injury is a blow, obviously, but getting into the mindset of it ruining your whole season is ridiculous. You then, unless you're on the wind up, go on to patronise the hell out of Blackpool and Stoke, who both deserved their wins at SJP. When a struggling team loses its one potentially world class player then it does have the power to derail a season. Whether it will or not is going to depend on the attitude the team take. As for my 'awful' attitude....where do you think motivation comes from? Circumstances like this. From this point on, I think we should be playing with aggression and anger. You do not instill a 'siege mentality' at the club by shrugging your shoulders, saying 'hard luck, lads' and simply moving on. You remind the team that they have been hard done by, and using that frustration to your advantage.
  7. A siege mentality has nothing to do with tactics. Should this team be playing with a massive chip on its shoulder? Absolutely. What was already going to be an extremely difficult season has become mission impossible with our best player out for the season. We have had our season derailed by a referee that was either bent or incompetent. We have been ignored by an FA that only cares about the top 4 teams that sell t-shirts in Dubai and Japan. The British media is waiting for us to fail. And talentless, provincial little clubs like Blackpool and Stoke now think they can pick up points at SJP through more anti-football and dirty play. There can be absolutely no excuse for complacency this year. Hughton should be reminding this team in every team talk that we are the underdogs. No more limp second half performances. They will have absolutely no help, and every point they pick up will have to be earned.
  8. I'm pleased Van Marwik has done something, but it says something about English football when it takes De Jong's national team manager to be the first figure of authority to speak out when he sees some highlights on TV. All you get from the FA - the authorities that should be protecting players in this league - is silence. Take racism out of football, and for god's sake don't talk back to the referee....but feel free to dive in with leg-breaking 'tackles'. And then ex-pro windbags in the media with single digit IQs equivocate and smirk about it being a 'man's game'. A lack of action and tolerance for this sort of behavior has created an environment where thug players like De Jong and thug teams like Wolves are allowed to keep crossing the line of fair, sportsmanlike behavior. This won't be the last time it happens this season. And the league is going to eventually stop attracting skillful footballers like Ben Arfa. Saudi billionaires might have the money for players like Messi, but would you risk your career to play in the Premiership if you knew the likes of Henry, Cattermole, De Jong etc. were aiming to snap your leg because they don't have the skill to play against you?
  9. http://ehealthforum.com/health/recovery-time-for-broken-tibia-and-fibula-t200025.html 12 weeks it sounds like. Others saying 7 months.
  10. I'd love a screen cap of Tiote standing over De Jong. The Dutch fucker looked terrified.
  11. Going too far. Although I would happily watch someone else stab Martin Atkinson and then wave play on instead of calling the police.
  12. I take some solace from the fact that there were large parts of the Stoke and City games where we played good football (even if we weren't creating many chances). That didn't happen two seasons ago.
  13. He'd probably be more useful with 1 foot + a cast than Kevin Nolan.
  14. What does that even mean? How can you tell when a player has taken matters into his own hands?
  15. If we do manage to stay up (which I'm seriously doubting at this point) you can be sure that this man will be a massive part of the reason why. Pure quality.
  16. If there is any justice in this world - any kindness, humanity or mercy at all - then that Ben Arfa injury will be 6 weeks and not a 6 months. Please.
  17. Been on a City forum - even they think the ref is biased towards them.
  18. Unless they score, in which case his tactics were all wrong from the start and we can't afford any more of his inexperience and naivety if we want to survive in this league. But if we get a point, well done to him, proved himself this week.
  19. Yeah sorry for getting distracted, let's get back to Hughton's shit tactics, refusal to drop Nolan, general ineptitude etc.
  20. I would enjoy witnessing the sudden and painful end of Nigel de Jong's career.
