  1. Nice long-range effort from the lad, some decent long-range passes too. Looks hungry, world apart from the Shelvey of recent at any rate.
  2. He's probably Ashley's anti-hitman, on retainer for seeking out those contracts and eliminating the clients
  3. Hoping we can persevere with him until Xmas next year when we're bottom of the Championship at least. Long term goals fellas.
  4. Staveley in the spring, Arabs in the Summer. Kenyon in the autumn, fuck knows in the winter. Charnley's on his knees, Ashley will be pleased. Hands in the air, for Sports Direct FC.
  5. Keep going Ste, doing a great job. Roll on League 2. Next step, Ashley.
  6. At least with Owen I get the sense that you could at least try to open his eyes to stuff, his head is so empty there's lots of potential for adjustment. Pardew though, he's got bullshit ejaculating from every orifice. The no violence caveat purely swings it to Owen for me.
  7. Tbh that's quite a conservative estimate.

He'll be gone by this time next year, enjoy him playing for us while it lasts. Makes me wonder why we don't just buy more 'goal-scoring' players, like Keegan's 90s team. Everyone in the team could score from the back 4 through to the strikers. I remember quite a few games where only Peacock and Albert would score for some 1-0s or 2-0s.

That's odd because when he broke through that was one of his best qualities. He knew what he could do with the ball before he got it and rarely gave it away.
  10. Good tbh. Keep him here for as long as possible
  11. Aye cause standing your ground and making a statement is exactly the right response, fuckers.
  12. We once had a team where not even Shearer or Solano could get on free kicks because we had Robert. We used to be good
  13. Dunno why everyone's upset with wor Stevie, he's the ideal man for back to back relegations. Need to join our NE pals down there to have a chance of getting rid of Ashley. For the greater good!
  14. Tbf managers always back each other regardless. He's not going to say anything else. SA is always on TalkSport and as an ex Newcastle manager he's going to be put on the spot about stuff like that.
  15. Good job Agent Bruce, 2 down 36 to go. Fuck off Ashley you cunt.
  16. Appointing Bruce is the best thing for the long term health of the club. I'll be cheering him on wholeheartedly all the way down to League 1. Then I can focus my anger on Ashley again :-)
  17. Ppl still missing the point. We need to be 100% behind him and singing his name, every game. So the spineless thumbtwat won't sack him as he takes us all the way down to League 1. Then... we've got a chance at Ashley selling.
  18. Same players, same training facilities, different manager. Go figure.
  19. Tbh the members email could be an awful lot more concise. I don't really care what Leicester fans are doing or what's happening at Bury. Lots of repetition between emails too, it's like a fanzine itself. If an email printed out is bigger than an A4 page it should be a web page instead.
  20. Just realised, Steve Bruce is exactly the manager we want for the long term health of this club (i.e. getting Ashley out). High probability of being relegated, increasing chances of a period of time out of the PL gravy train and SD reduced exposure. So in this respect, is it possible to support Bruce in a 'it's not really his fault he's shit' kind of way and enjoy the ride down to the Championship, safe in the knowledge that this is the best scenario for the long term?

Cisse was literally the best striker in the world for the 6 months from when he arrived. He would get one or two half chances a game and score a worldy with each shot. I remember our tactics distinctly, Pardew had no idea how to set us up for when we had the ball. Plan A was to put Ba and Cisse on the last defenders and have Cabaye and Tiote sit on the toes of Colo. All our defenders and keeper were tasked with lumping it as far up the pitch as possible, which would bounce of an opposing defender's head and fall somewhere inbetween our attack and midfield who were too far back to contest the second ball. Then, once the opposition had the ball, Tiote and Cabaye would press for the mistake and try to launch a quick counter if they won the ball. If not, let Krul receive a long-shot or similar from the opponents' attack and repeat the process. It was god-awful to watch and I hated every match I saw. Even at the time I was saying that were doing well in the league despite Alan Pardew, and without him I think with the players in the form that they were, we would have finished 4th.
