Forgive me for wanting something other than an owner who is using our football club solely as a marketing tool in Asia and one who is not using the time before the financial fair play rules come into effect to significantly invest in the club with capital improvements. No hatred for Pardew here, only praise. I don't agree with his selection policy but that's just my point of view, he appears to be the expert at man management and so long as the squad is happy and we're winning games I will bow to his superior knowledge. Pardew is just evolving the squad. Always better to have younger, hungrier players with potential on the bench rather than older, second-rate players (when compared with the first team) who would be there to just pick up their money every week. Obviously Harper has served us well, but we don't owe him anything, and it's his own fault that he still isn't playing top-flight football as he could have left to get it and develop into a better keeper who could still play well to this day.
