Yeah he's invested more than 300 million in something he plans to run into the ground. Also Asia? I forgot we'd signed Kim Jong Park last summer. Time for you to do some reading. “I was told that the man behind the deal was Mike Ashley and I sat with his representatives over three days thrashing out a deal. I was keen to know why they wanted the club and they were quite honest. They wanted to market their sports goods in the Far East and would use the club to help do this.” - Sir John Hall. how longs he owned the club now? i can tell you for sure sports direct goods are not being marketed prominently in the far east, in fact given that most of it is made in the far east and fake s*** is rife all over the region it'd be a monumentally stupid reason for buying a football club no? And you want me to argue against your view that Ashley is stupid and a liar? lol.

Do you think Ben Arfa or Santon should feature v Wigan or Blackburn? How ridiculous.

Steve Taylor is probably one of the only players I could imagine not changing how he plays with a mask on his face, that would require 'thought'

Forgive me for wanting something other than an owner who is using our football club solely as a marketing tool in Asia and one who is not using the time before the financial fair play rules come into effect to significantly invest in the club with capital improvements. He'd rather spend £50m in his local casino than put £5m into the club.

You are welcome to hate Ashley by all means, but get your facts straight before you come out with stuff like that. He acquired the club for about £140 million and at the last count had put approx another £140 million in over and above the acquisition price. Go ahead and break that down in a manner that shows he is not responsible for every single extra penny he put in over the acquistion price.

His boots change colour!

Everything about that photo is unsettling.
-
Why? He's a right back and Right back is our weakest position in the team currently.
-
Could he be worse than Simpson? No.
-
Sounds about as anonymous as Best vs Wigan

After a broken jaw, a nose isn't so bad tbh. At least you can still breathe through your mouth, it's a bit harder chewing through the nose.

To the tune of Rupert The Bear (Phillip Albert-Laurent Robert 2011/12 Mag-Mix): “Yohan, Yohan Cabaye, everyone knows his name!” lol thank you
-
Just wondering if you completely forgot Keane or are you saying Ince/Butt were a different type of player?
-
As somebody asked who he ran off to : http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2011/10/24/yohan-cabaye-thanks-fans-for-song-he-doesn-t-understand-61634-29648313/ And my question is, can someone tell me the words and tune of the song for Cabaye

No hatred for Pardew here, only praise. I don't agree with his selection policy but that's just my point of view, he appears to be the expert at man management and so long as the squad is happy and we're winning games I will bow to his superior knowledge. I also am thoroughly enjoying the fact that we have probably the most motivated manager in the league, as he's working his ass off to repay his gambling debts Am still a big Ashley hater though, guy is a billionaire that won't put money into the club, other than the money used to acquire it.
-
Doubt that bringing Eliot has "evolved" the squad in anyway. It's the definition.
-
Pardew is just evolving the squad. Always better to have younger, hungrier players with potential on the bench rather than older, second-rate players (when compared with the first team) who would be there to just pick up their money every week. Obviously Harper has served us well, but we don't owe him anything, and it's his own fault that he still isn't playing top-flight football as he could have left to get it and develop into a better keeper who could still play well to this day.
-
Cabaye's never had the ball. Tiote's been our best player by a country mile.
-
Ba has been completely anonymous. Simpson's been dire. Couple of obvious changes to be made.
-
You started it. Let's try again then, how would he get into the team currently? Portugal of the late 90's and early 00's, were a team of attacking midfielders propped up by a very good target man, Nuno Pinto. His job was to receive the ball, hold it up, and lay it off to his advancing team mates. Everything he did in his time here suggests he could do that aplomb. Himself up front with Ba, or alone would definitely fit into our playstyle. He could actually offer something in the build up play, which Best cannot do. I believe it's important to have a player up front dragging defenders about and running the channels to make space for our creative midfield to exploit. Players like Ben Arfa and (when he finally gets in the team) Marveaux (sp)
