  1. Aye, I prefer Targett there, but having Burn there allows us to have that back 3 on the ball and Trippier can basically become a right winger. It seems to be working really well.
  2. Are you mates with the user david edgar by any chance?
  3. Murphy with a shot on target, fk me what's going on
  4. Lonstaff leading the huddle, great to see
  5. Enjoy this lads, you're gonna be reminiscing about these times. We are living, right now, through the the halcyon days of the rebirth of our great club. Before the pressure of winning things becomes the norm, this is truly the best part of the journey. Hope, optimism, comradery are awash in not only supporters, but in the players and the staff from the top to the bottom. In years gone by, we'll be fondly remembering things like Almiron's almost back-to-back (a summer apart) goal of the season contenders, Bruno's Van Persie-esque diving header into the neat from a gut-busting run from half-way in the dying minutes. Trippier scoring every free kick he takes. A second-choice Brighton centre-back playing so well, he's keeping one of the most promising young defenders in the world on his toes. That we burned Gerrard with Targett for free while they were lumbered with Digne. Joelinton becoming Socrates for a few months. Bruno and Joe dying their hair blond together, JoeBru dying their hair white together. So many moments, so many experiences...
  6. He puts so much backspin on every pass it's a wonder they don't return to sender
  7. He was playing the long game with that villa in Portugal...
  8. So in your opinion this place is worse than Twitter, Facebook 606 etc.? Wow. Ok, big agree to disagree moment there.
  9. Yeah I can't stand for that either, heat of the moment in a matchday thread, fine, I won't condone it but I'll not reply. But when it becomes calculated that's where I disapprove. I like your 'certain sort of person' phrase, sounds familiar
  10. The matchthreads are as bipolar as the matchday crowd imo, people express frustration and joy in equal measure. The player threads tend to be a lot more considered, unless someone's really done well and had their player thread bumped during a match. Not sure I agree with bumping a player thread because he's having a mare, though. That said, there is no place for baseless personal abuse or insults by anyone, to anyone, including players. Excluding Mike Ashley, mind.
  11. He's a top, top player. Next-level type signing along with Bruno imo.
  12. I almost missed that complete lie of a first sentence, this forum is the most accomodating and mature online platform to discuss this club around. Compared to Twitter, Facebook, 606 or anywhere else, it's great. Don't spout mistruths to get cheap likes without expecting to be brought up on it.
  13. So I had said disagreed that he played well, so you call me a cretin? I guess name calling is what you resort to when you have a difference of opinion. At least have the balls to quote me directly.

Money aside, no doubt as part of a 3 in the middle he'd have been at least useful. You can't tell me he'd not have been better than the Longstaff or Willock. Now though, not a chance. We're not fighting relegation, we want to push on and he's a yesterday player like Alli.
  15. I guess I just disagree with the view that he had a good game. It was hard not to look at least average with the amount of time on the ball vs he 10 men of Fulham. I used to think Murphy was handy at the start of the season, but now I can't see past how limited he is, it's frustrating. FWIW I'd have liked us to have at least tried Targett in front of Burn on the left in Maxi's absence, as he's looked great with the ball at his feet in the final third.
  16. See, see, the stats say he's good so he must be. Let's not worry about the stats where he ran into his teammates in the box while trying to make the same run as them, where he's also top of the chart as Willock will attest to
  17. I was wondering why the threads weren't as littered with 'you've ignored posts from this user' recently

Joelinton Bruno Almiron Isak Wilson ASM Joe and Almiron on the sides of their strong feet for the overlap from the inverted wingers/forwards on Isak and ASM
