I don't think he's intentionally the colour commentator, he's just a bit simple

No good drama is complete without a believably conflicted hero. Worrying.

I think you answered that yourself - PCP through Stavely & Co have brought in some of the best people in the business to ensure the club gets run correctly, as a business, with clear goals and a vision. Ashworth especially will probably have the biggest say in Howe's position, and they wouldn't have hired him to then not listen to him when it counts. It's mad, we've gone from a literal laughing stock of an organisation, asset-stripped and skeleton-crewed, to having some of the best people around. Seeing all the blocks fall into place one by one is so satisfying, I get as much satisfaction (sad as it is) from getting people like Eales and Ashworth as getting Isak and Botman. It's with them that the future of this club rests.

Not too sure on that, Brighton won't finish above us this season even with Trossard. A more apt example would be us buying a first teamer from one of the teams likely to finish ahead of us.

Aaron Mooy still playing? I thought he was like 40, just checked Wikipedia and he's only 32

I mean it would be the most blatant case of pot calling the kettle black of all time, but anyway

Lads, come on I want Almiron to get it too lol. All I said was it's not clear cut, and that Haaland broken an all-time record in the month in question. Not sure why I'm getting all these quotes

Anyone else thinks this photo could have been taken straight out of the 1980s?

They wouldn't have got there without you, Mr Howe

The point remains though that he broke the record in October.
-
In Haaland's favour, he's broken an all-time record in October of 3 back-to-back home hattricks. I'd love for Almiron to win but it's not that clear cut. Hopefully other fans love the redemption/Grealish angle to give him the edge.

Aye, I'm a big Matt Targett fan, I do think he's underappreciated for his attacking play. Defensively though, I do feel both himself and Maxi on the left leaves us vulnerable. I've got images in my head of Targett pegging it back downfield chasing an opponent's counterattack. On the right we've got Trippier, Almiron, and either of Bruno or Longstaff filling in so it doesn't matter so much if the ball is lost that way. I think Burn keeps his place when Maxi comes back in, even more so than when it's just Murphy or someone else as they're just more effective defensively than Maxi, regardless of his improved out-of-possession effort.

I'm actually struggling to think of how we add real quality to this team in January to be honest. I wouldn't swap any of our back 5 for anyone. Bruno is the best in the world. We've already got Isak to come in up front, and Almiron reliving Cissé's post-signing purple patch. Maybe a couple in the middle alongside Bruno, and some genuine competition on the wings? I wouldn't be surprised if we don't bring any big names in in January, just some exciting prospects that can keep pushing the first team and come in and do a job meanwhile. Maintaining the team's togetherness and work ethic is paramount and I don't think Howe would want that jeopardised for the sake of a trophy signing.
