@ Big Tron Yeah, I agree. We really need to see Ashley gone ASAP. I am not all that excited about Moat because I just don't think Shearer is the right man to manage this club. I really wish he was, but I haven't seen anything to convince me of that. @afar Maybe we are talking past one another. For example, some of the names that have been bandied about like Curbishley and Strachen would certainly count as quality managers in my book. I mean, we're not going to bring in Mourinho--- they are not of that stature. But they are better than anything we've seen since SBR (with the exception of Keegan). Maybe you are talking about someone like Roeder? The squad we had last year would've never been relegated under Roeder IMO. Still, I wouldn't trust him to win promotion.

Biggest crowd at a sporting event was probably a baseball game or two at Candlestick Park (around 70,000) in San Francisco. Been to political demonstrations that were much larger.

I disagree. We do need a quality manager. And Houghton, Kinnear, and Shearer just don't cut it. A quality manager would be more valuable to the club than anything else right now.

I really don't see why, I don't think it will take a genius to get us promoted, making the company a far more valuable asset. Perhaps they were told that Shearer will come back to manage? Forget Moat, they can appoint their own chairman who can appoint the manager they think is best to get us promoted be it Curbishley, Dave Jones or Shearer That would be best. I saw Gordon Strachan's name pop up somewhere; think he'd take us straight back up.

Jose Enrique out for at least three weeks with hamstring injury

He's gone under the radar because he plays for us. Plays for NUFC, he must be shit. From the very start that was the line peddled by the national media, another Newcastle transfer disaster. Solid player.. -
I think we'd be much better off keeping Colo and Taylor. I don't think that is going to happen. I think we are (rather, Ashley is) angling to sell both. Current gossip have them both going for £10. Not each. Total.
-
I do find it quite strange that we could end up selling two central defenders who were part of a team that conceded the 4th most goals in the entire league for near 20 million. It's all our midfields fault really but 10million for Taylor and I can live with that ...and replace him with who and with what. Not exactly bursting with replacements or any fucker to buy them or money to buy them with Sol Campbell presumably. Can't see Everton spending £10 for Taylor. Though that thrashing they received works in our favor. Maybe if they get enough for Lescott we can benefit.

I find it odd to think that should we'll have to get promoted the see the likes of Titus Bramble, Aaron Hughes, and Abdoulaye Faye again. And, oh yeah, 'Gooch' Onyewu signed for AC Milan. Jesus fucking christ.

Looks like he might have done his metatarsal again. He mouthed to the referee 'i've broken my foot' and then to the physio 'i think it's broken'. It never ends... -
