Don't think it will count as a sub. When a player get injured in warm-up you are allowed to take a change as well without using one of the subs. Crafty. Always thought once the teams were in to the ref, any changes counted as subs.

Who is the other? Out of interest, why would Roberts be a pointless signing? Because he's old, an average footballer, and doesn't score many goals. We need a striker that will make a significant impact. When you consider he starts most matches on the bench I wouldn't have expected him to score that many goals ... Lille have some really nice players and a decent squad, so I think they would put up a good challenge. Auxerre could be competitive with some improvement, but I don't really think they have the money to psuh forward, their title challenge this year was a surprise. Montpellier would have no chance. Lyon will be in the CL places if they win their match in hand anyway. Not sure if they will anyway, after how poor they were today. Lille do have a decent enough squad but will it not get plundered over the summer? I'm no expert on Auxerre but if they were to gamble & spend a fair bit on new players wouldn't that jeopardise them as they have quite a small budget due to being from a small town etc. That manager who was there for 30+ years still on the scene? guy roux wasn't it ? went to lens but didn't last long. i think he's retired now. santini took over from him at auxerre but i've no idea if he's still there. Aye i think so, couldn't remember if he was Auxerre fella or the chef.

I think they normally play a 3 in the middle and the fact their defence has consisted of various player who are totally gash might have more to be with the matter (Hreidersson, Mokoena and Wilson to name but 3)

On a serious note. I think a lot of it would depend on them getting their new ground as its piss poor to watch football at the International but if they came up i see no reason why they could be like an Accrington type club and survive on small crowds and local players. (In mind that Accrington is sandwiched between B'burn & Burnley). Be useful for us to send some our young lads out for a bit of 'real' football rather than in the stiffs.
