  1. fully agree, the open rant/interview he gave towards the end of his time at City was very informed and had a lot of sense behind it, however he, like many others (not meaning its right) can't handle his drink and a bit of provocation.
  2. Fair to play the Spurs board and I hope something will come of it although I doubt anything serious will unfortunately as with a lot of shit in the game it has now become the norm for this to happen and for there to be no repuccusions. ...and Spurs are no angels in this respect.

    Tim Krul

Are you talking about Carroll or Krul? Carroll sorry. pretty much fits in of what I've heard about n all from the sis of a former u19 in same team as him.

    Tim Krul

Not sure about his attitude, didn't exactly thrive at PNE when he had the chance to get some decent first team football under his belt.
  5. Wonder if that lass had got it styled like Bobby Charlton just like that bloke infront

Not arsed if we sell Carroll like, only been given the time of day as he is a local lad.
  7. Maybe they'll give Bent a run. Got a lot to prove still 'daaaan the lane' and a proven Prem goalscorer or they're going to play 4-5-1/4-3-3 since they do have 175 midfielders currently.
  8. Hull have bought well you're right, but they're still going to do fuck all unless they buy at least 2 Premiership quality strikers, good luck to em though.
  9. Linked with Carlos Villaneuva on some gash link via newsnow. Can't say I know anything about him.
  10. Didn't know he was still playing, used to be good back in the day, remember him scoring a screamer for Fulham i think it was.
  11. The town centre already lookslike it has unless its changed dramatically since the last time I was there
  12. But his representative Rudy Raba has told us that playing at The Stadium of Light would slow down his international career, and that other clubs have made more interesting offers to the Frenchman. “Younes wouldn’t join Sunderland even if there was an earthquake,” Raba told setantasports.com. “We have more interesting options than Sunderland. Don’t even think about it. “I can tell you for sure that he’s going to stay in England next season. “At Portsmouth you are more watched and for example you have France international Lassana Diarra playing there. “Of course he would prefer to have his chance at Tottenham rather than moving to Sunderland. “No disrespect to them, but playing there wouldn’t help his international career."
  13. oh, it is.. Enrique's been a major disappointment he's hapless I'm "furious" and blame Dennis Wise for undermining his performances.

    Tim Krul

Loan him out to Feyenoord and put the stipulation that he has to play a certain amount of games otherwise they have to cough up money or give him back, similar to what Man U did with Pique to Zaragoza a couple of season ago. Also, Lee Ryder, should know we played Heerenveen in the Waffa not the CL.

    Long Term Strategy

I like it, we are buying players who are looking to prove themselves, are young, hungry and have scope for improvement rather than people who are here for a big day pay day. Fully agree with Johnnypd says, this is exactly what we should be looking to do, see how Portsmouth have adopted this strategy with great sucess.
  16. All four would improve the mackems first team no end and plus another striker will probably see them safe next season i reckon.
  17. I'd take them 4 Spurs players like
  18. Mackems and Boro havin the same away kit.
  19. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/nufc/Newcastle-reject-Norwich39s-1m-bid.4299289.jp Norwich after Andy Carroll?
  20. him and his agent want to keep their gobs shut if he wants move. Doing themselves no favours.
  21. Good player but doesn't fit in with transfer policy.
  22. Was wondering the same, surely he'd go straight into the role Owen took in the 4-3-3? Meaning Owen back up top (with Martins?) which concerns me. Or perhaps there's some mileage in the Martins to Arsenal stories and there's more of a targetman coming in. Was wondering the same, surely he'd go straight into the role Owen took in the 4-3-3? Meaning Owen back up top (with Martins?) which concerns me. Exactly, although Owen and Martins are very good players, both work best with the target man alongside them and Owen has shown himself to be a lot more use in the 'hole' than he has upfront of recent. I'll be fuming if we get rid of Martins.

    Nigel De Jong

Decent acquisition at that price if true (which i very much doubt) - young, european/international experience, can cover several roles. Looked decent enough at Euro's although his passing ain't the best so he'll fit in here well.
  24. hmmm.... I find it hard to dislike Gallacher, he wasn't brought in to be in the starting XI week in, week out and actually showed a bit of passion (his first goal at home to Sheff Utd in the cup). Also really canny when he put his name in my autograph book. He was a headless chicken, no obvious qualities but was let off because he put a decent shift in. Was a signing that showed how far backwards we'd gone in a couple of years.
  25. Although there is no doubt he has talent I don't really see where Aimar is likely to fit in, Keegan isn't going to drop Owen for him and he doesn't play wide and is too lightweight for a midfield slot in 4-4-2 or in the Barton/Geremi role.
