Goal set-piece, Phil Jones.

Watching Manu and it seems pretty clear that their problem is centre mid. Rafael on the right and Mata cutting in looks quite good but their centre mid doesn't recycle possession anywhere near quick enough, Carrick should but he seems a lot slower to me this season. Neither Fellaini or Carrick break up the play much either, Fellaini floats about trying to use his strength and Carrick holds his sitting position but isn't very aggressive. Can see why it's quite difficult for Moyes at the moment, if you look at their personnel then none of the centre mid pairs make that much sense.

Us and Rob Lee.

Completely agree with him.

Derby look strong at home to Millwall. Some good Scottish lower matches for goals possibly, usual Dutch, German and Salzburg too.

In terms of wording I wouldn't say people are outraged when things like this happen these days. My mates thoughts were more along the lines of 'jesus, a manager headbutting someone? What a fucking tit'.
-
Most of my friends aren't Newcastle fans and they were outraged. And they think he's a cunt of the highest order.

Some good posts on this page, cutting through the bullshit.

But his overall business is doing well. NUFC is just a cog. A well oiled constant advertising campaign.

Strachan certainly has us going in the right direction. Depends a lot on injuries and the like since we have little depth. Amazing the difference that Strachan made although Levein was a really terrible manager for us.

Aye, well said Bimpy.

Same here. They play some nice stuff but lack a cutting edge. Said it before in this thread they need a more creative force from midfield and apparently they made a large offer for one in Jan but it didn't go through for some reason or another. RVW has had an awful season and his confidence is obviously shot, Snodgrass has been poor by his standards too. Hooper has been hit and miss and lacks that support from midfield. Ruddy is a pish keeper if you ask me, seen so many fuckups and soft goals conceded by him when watching them. The likes of Redmond and Fer are getting better and I'd imagine next season should be developing into good premiership players. Dunno what they will do with RVW, if Hughton is going to be a good manager then he will have to sort that one out asap but we all know that with strikers confidence is massive. Think he will keep them up and if he gets a few new players in they will be a decent side. Considering he's pretty much overhauled their team in 2 seasons and led them to 11th, to conclude he isn't cut out for the premiership is extreme.

Was just thinking the same, Interpolic. Imagine if Di Canio had nutted one of our players?
-
You didn't expect to come in here and see people condemning the manager for, like, HEADBUTTING(!) an opposition player?!
-
I agree about the game going soft, it's gone far too far when a manager can no longer nut an opposition player and something needs to change quick. In my day managers were nutting fans, referees and children. Cannot believe people are trying to play this down so much. He's the manager, not a player.

Spurs still have the makings of an excellent team. Do they see Sherwood as a long term appointment or are they just seeing how it goes until the summer?

Had Real >1.5, Benzema anytime and Real to win and BTTS. 2/3 ain't bad. Cheers for the Benzema tip.
-
Salzburg > 2.5.
-
Benzema! Great stuff Neil.
-
Salzburg score already, they are unstoppable.
-
Damn, only just seen Hoffenheim were playing today, they are an absolute gold mine for goals. 4-1 already. Looking into Real Neil, Salzburg too who have done me proud recently.

Is that today Neil, that double?
