  1. As long as we buy a fullback, a centreback and some more cover in midfield I'm not really bothered if we pay 10m or 15m for him. A lot of peoe on here are saying that our style has moved on since we sold Carroll but I saw an awful lot of direct long ball stuff from us last season, it was largely unsuccessful though as we didn't have a decent target to hit - Carroll would give us that option. I agree we should be looking to play more passing football and Cisse and Ba would be my first choice pairing but we have to allow for playing different tactics against different teams and in different situations.
  2. Can Reading afford to offer him more than the 25k a week he (allegedly) turned down from us?
  3. I thought it was only 25% of any profit they made on him? So 25% of anything over £35million, which is effectively nothing because no-one will ever pay anything like that for him.
  4. As long as the first game is at home I'm not really arsed who it is against.

    NUFC Kits

The back is going to be a horrible white patch for the numbers again, isn't it.
  6. Apologies if Giggs, but the Telegraph is reporting that Ashley is considering buying Umbro. Might be the end of Puma kit for us.
  7. I can't see Andy Carroll fitting into Brendan Rogers' style of football very successfully.
  8. Ali's right. Spurs could win all their games and still not finish 4th so it's not in their hands either. Spurs just so happen to have a significant goal difference advantage at present, but it's in neither team's hands in the real sense of the phrase. As soon as a team goes a point or more clear it's in their hands. We have a winner (well, another one who understands what I've said all along)! Are you taking the f***ing p*ss? Are you? So i'm thick as f*** for saying: You then agree with Interpolic who writes this exact same logic, just in a different manner It's not the exact same logic though. What you fail to understand is that saying "It's not in Newcastle's hands" does not equal "It's in Spurs' hands" as both are in fact relying on the results of the other, i.e. it's in neither's hands. I said the first, but never the second. I havn't failed to understand anything, you have however. You have confused "It's still in our hands" as "it's solely in our own hands". I expect an apology. So it's in our hands but also in Spurs' hands?
  9. So it's not in Spurs' hands either then? Of course it its in their hands you thick fecker, they only have to match our scores. How can they guarantee they score more goals than us? For it to be in their own hands they would need to be in a position whereby if they won all their genes there would be nothing we could do to catch them. Ie getting 3rd is in arsenals own hands and winning the league is in man utds own hands
  10. So every team in the top 6 has at least 1 player nominated with the exception of us?
  11. Does it go to a replay if it's a draw? Not sure I could bear a penalty shoot out with Waddle commentating.I
  12. I read a stat that said that only about 2% of direct corners resulted in goals and that statistically you were much more like to score by taking it short and keeping possession.
  13. would like to see us take more short corners tbh
