PSG have sold so many of their talented youngsters for dirt cheap this Summer. RB Leipzig will sign midfielder Christopher Nkunku from PSG today for €15m, subject to a medical. Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of teenage attacker Moussa Diaby from PSG for €15million. Official: Timothy Weah joins LOSC Lille from PSG with €9,5 million euros. N’Soki next? I’d love to have seen us buy from them this Summer

When Vieira sees Benton for the first time after playing a key role in the building of the Etihad campus. Even the OGC Nice training complex is on another planet to ours

You’ve had two digs at the guy in 25 mins about the same thing, a dozen posts apart with him saying nothing. Get a grip. Stop repeating yourself Trust me apart from CDM he is the last person I worry about having a dig  I know man, still annoying. Like a fly that won’t f*** off Better get those Mourinho/Wenger posters up Can’t believe how gullible some of our supporters are. Keith Bishop pulling our pants down yet again while Mike pats him on the back.

Godzilla putting Mourinho and Wenger posters up on his bedroom wall as we speak While Mike Ashley laughs.

Mike Ashley will have Godzilla hook line and sinker with that PR move

Very clever PR move by Mike Ashley. Bet this deceives half our fanbase

Whilst I don't disagree, could be the possibility that new owners are looking for someone with a more recent record of winning things (i.e. Mourinho). We won't know until any takeover does happen, as it could be they will approach Rafa straight away also. Rafa Benitez has won 5 trophies in the last 9 years Midhat has already said they want Rafa yet people still say they want someone else based on nothing. hey I'm not arguing that they should be looking at Rafa, but just stating why any potential new owners may be looking at someone else Only Pep Guardiola has won more trophies than Rafa of all the managers in the Premier League and you’re thinking the new owners might think Rafa Benitez isn’t enough of a trophy winner

Norwich have made a £6m bid for Preston forward Callum Robinson, Sky Sports News understands. Looking like a bottom 3 of Newcastle, Sheff Utd, Norwich next season.

The amount Rondon would cost

Aston Villa have had a bigger net spend than us in the PL since we’ve been promoted and they haven’t even kicked a Premier League ball yet This is just getting far too depressing

Got him at 50/1 yesterday morning. What are the terms for it to count as “next manager”. First Premier League game or what?

Agree All the foundations now being ripped apart with Rafa, Rondon, Perez, Longstaff likely leaving. Mike Ashley sending the club back years this Summer.

Myth. He will cashout when he thinks he’s won with a deal that keeps a benefit to Sports Direct.

This kind of post is everything that's wrong with this place at the moment. I will not renew my season ticket as a result of Ashley and the way the Rafa situation was handled but I will still have a huge interest in how Newcastle do. I'm still interested in who the manager will be and what signings (don't laugh) we will make and if I'm being totally honest I will still want us to do well, I cannot help it. I will stay away but to expect people to stop following a team they have followed for all/most of their life is ridiculous. if you are happy to stop following and have no interest in Newcastle then so be it but don't question other people for still following the team. Giving up going to the game is one thing but to give up following the team is another. Some people will stay away and want the whole thing to implode, relegation etc. Some people will stay away and still have an interest in the team. The important point is the staying away bit. I’m in this camp too sadly Can’t take any enjoyment out of relegation or us getting thumped every week. Just hoping Ashley leaves before the season starts we’ll still be in a terrible state going into next season but at least there would be light at the end of the tunnel.

I think collectively we’d concede a massive amount if we ripped apart our solid base and went for a big transition in manager. With Rondon and Perez gone/going it’d be impossible for us to score enough goals to stay up especially if the new manager takes away our solid base too. For those reasons I think someone like Arteta would be a disaster for next season.
-
Depends who the new manager is. If Charnley were to get someone like Patrick Vieira that would carry on our solid base in 3-4-2-1(Plays it at Nice) then keeping the solid foundations would help prevent them from disaster next season. If we lose our solid foundations AND the 44% goals contributed by Rondon AND our top scorer Perez then you’re looking at Huddersfield type numbers next season = 22 goals scored 76 conceded. Those numbers would never happen under Rafa because he knows how to get the balance right.
