I've tried to be patient with your viewpoints as others slag you off, after all they're only opinions, but if you think Rafa would go to China I give up. It would be against everything we know the man to be. I agree don’t think he would consider it usually but if he’s found out the takeover isn’t happening then you could understand why he would be considering a £12million a year contract offer But he isn't driven by money, I'm quite sure he has more than enough already. Competition, success, achievement is what drives the man. If you’ve got £10m in the bank and get offered £60m for 5 years work, knowing you’ve set yourself, kids and grandkids up for the rest of their lives, you’d absolutely 100% consider it. Think the ‘how much does he need?’ argument is the pits.

Worryingly I think he would only be considering the China offer if he knows the takeover is unlikely to happen. Seems like we could be in for double bad news. No way would Rafa go to China if he knew the takeover was about to happen.

As much as Rafa is key atm I do agree with this. New owners could come in and appoint Mourinho he goes on to win the FA Cup or league people would forget about Rafa quickly Sacked while 16th with Chelsea Then wasted £400million at Man Utd sounds the perfect man for a Sheikh investment.

Its definitely takeover or bust for me. Benitez staying with Ashley changes nothing for the direction of the club other than reapplying the plaster on the axe wound. Rafa staying with either owner or bust for me. The club will drop down the leagues like Sunderland otherwise. The takeover is the absolute most important thing by an absolute mile. We have had 12 years of the club being totally devoid of basic investment and improvement. No person manager or player is more important than the future of the club. How can you know that when you have absolutely no idea what the new owners will be like The man that can offer Newcastle the most guaranteed security for the future of this football club is Rafa Benitez. Nope you sure as hell will realise when Tim Sherwood is manager and we drop down to League 1 though. Rafa Benitez is not bigger than the club, however much I love him. Hes worked wonders but ultimately hes hit the ceiling of what this club will let him do. I want a takeover and the fat cunt gone. Even if that means losing Rafa but if your happy playing midtable every year, good for you. Corrected it for you We’ve had the same average position and points as £100million spending West Ham in the last 2 seasons since promotion. Only Rafa and Wolves have finished in the Top 10 of the last 6 promoted teams since we got promoted. 4 out of 6 of them have all finished bottom 5.(Fulham, Cardiff, Huddersfield, Brighton) And 3 of the 6 have been relegated since we were promoted. We’re very lucky to be in such solid positions since promotion.

Enjoy Tim Sherwood and dropping down to League 1 then. You think the new owners are going to hire Tim Sherwood? A lot of our fans are in for a reality check. The same ones that wanted Sir Bobby out for 3rd, 4th, 5th probably Have we really not realised managers like Sir Bobby and Rafa Benitez only come round once in a blue moon have we really not realised that yet? So you'd rather Ashley stayed if it meant Rafa did too? Most important person for the future security of Newcastle United is Rafa Benitez. Not some Sheikh that we have no idea will be like. Hoping for both obviously but the most important thing is Rafa stays so we don’t end up dropping the divisions like Sunderland. People are taking our Premier League security now for granted it was lucky Rafa came and dragged us back up into a solid position where a Sheikh wants to buy us. Yet people couldn’t give a “Flying” about Rafa

Atletico Madrid are getting Diego Llorente as a replacement for £40 million. Its a shame they are getting torn apart like this, but I think they needed to refresh the squad anyway. Its probably why Simeone decided to sign a new contract to give the club some stability. I wish they signed Dybala instead of Feliex I think that would have been a smart transfer. You mean Marcos Very good business/trading by them.

Van De Beek would be where Ayoze is like. His main attributes are getting into really good positions in the box and pressing high up the pitch Obviously not going to happen anyway yeah he's no CM, see him playing in the role almiron or ayoze played last year (in fantasyland) Van De Beek in CM would be like watching Mooy without the ball Useless.

I wouldn’t call 3 PL titles and 7 FA Cups “didn’t lead to them winning anything” like. He faded badly near the end obviously, but should be remembered as the brilliant manager he was. He became more involved in the financial side over time because he won things and the board respected him. That's when things went awry for them. He should have just stuck to managing the team. And building a good defence something he failed to do for his last 15 years.
-
He’s getting pelters already ???

On average it is Impossible for VAR to get everything right with the stupidity of some of the Refs using it. VAR is all about improving the ratio which it is thankfully.

Rafa Benitez has been offered £12million a year by midtable Chinese club Dalian Yifang according to the papers tomorrow[Talksport].

Why is Bielsa hanging out the back of our stadium
