Didn't occur to me there'd be a prob, as audio streams usually, you know, work.
-
Well, "most" isn't good enough, is it? There's nowt on the page advertising what you get for your subscription that says "Unless you are one of the millions of people who use a Mac."
-
Then why don't they have some password system or something? It's not rocket science.
-
Well, thanks for that, but, click on the commentary link and, hey fucking presto... "The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable"
-
Just signed up and forked out on .cock because I want to get the match commentary online. Do all the credit card thing, hurrah, I'm in! Looking forward to the game, click on the commentary link... "The service requires that you are using Internet Explorer version 6 or greater and Windows Media Player version 9 or greater. The service is not currently available on Macs." And of course, I use a Mac. How hard can it be to stream some audio commentary to a Mac? Useless, incompetent bastards! So, no commentary, and now I have to go through the tedious process of getting my fucking money back...

I don't really care much in the end if Nobby and Dyer go, but it's happening too quickly. Even in a livelier transfer window, there's only so much of a squad you can replace and reinforce in one go.

Hammers eye Solano move - More Oliver bollocks?
OzzieMandias replied to Leazes1986's topic in Football
Maybe he's discovered he doesn't like being managed by SA. -
If there's time to spend it. It's clear this transfer window that it's bloody hard work bringing in anyone SA considers worth having.

It's funny how Oliver's credibility is now so low that whatever he writes we all just automatically assume it's bollocks. -

What is it with West Ham and our players? Have they got, like, just one scout and he happens to be based on Tyneside? -
Which won't be anything to shout about since Ameobi is gonna be the 2nd choice big man striker, while Smith is gonna be playing deeper and will get less games than Ameobi up top. Well, I was thinking, up until now, rather than this season coming, but I take your point. I just looked at their records. Shola one goal in 4.8 games; Smith one in 4.7. Yeah, Smith has spent more time playing deeper, but he's also made way more starts. Forty percent of Shola's appearances were from the bench; Smith's, only 20 percent.
-
Bet you Shola's goals per game ratio compares pretty well with Smith's.

If a player is happy being a sub I want him out of the club. [brian Clough/] difference between accepting and being happy as Ozzie said 'fight for a place' 'Zactly.
-
He's not nearly as bad as people make him out to be, he plays for the shirt, he's probably not costing us much, and he seems to accept being low down the pecking order and continues to fight for a place, bringing optimism and a positive attitude, rather than sullen disgruntlement, to the bench. Pretty good option, really, for a fifth-choice striker.

In Shepherd's first four seasons in charge, we came 13th, 13th, 11th and 11th, so Ashley doesn't have to work that hard to do better.

Ashley Turns Down £20m Profit for Quick Resale.
OzzieMandias replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
I wouldn't be surprised if there's some truth in the story. -
Bit like Shepherd, then.

Makes a change from all the Everton fans that end up playing for Liverpool, anyway.

I completely agree that most american players are shit. Because it's not taken as seriously as it is in Europe. But in all truth, I'm sick and tired of hearing this "prem is the fastest toughest league" shit like it somehow makes it superior. While I love English footy, because I have roots in England, I can't agree with all of this better league shit. It has more money to spread around, but it really isn't the best. Hell, for that, just look at the Champions League for the past 27 years. FOUR times and English team wins it. Start looking at the actual stats and history of shit, and then maybe you really know what your talking about. # 2006 - 2007 Milan # 2005 - 2006 Barcelona # 2004 - 2005 Liverpool (1) # 2003 - 2004 Porto # 2002 - 2003 Milan # 2001 - 2002 Real Madrid # 2000 - 2001 Bayern # 1999 - 2000 Real Madrid # 1998 - 1999 Man. Villa are an English team. Then there were five years when English clubs were banned from the competition. Meanwhile... Italian clubs: six times German clubs: three times Spanish clubs: five times Plus, English finalists the last three seasons, three English clubs in the semi-finals last season... it's not a bad record.

Somewhere between 6th and 8th... so I suppose I'd better say 7th. Said 11th last season, and felt I was being pessimistic!

Seven managers in the last ten years. How long has Allardyce got?
OzzieMandias replied to Parky's topic in Football
Yes Arsenal. If they dont though, then why should we be able to break into the top 4? Securing and attracting the top players will always be harder for us. Need an over-achieving manager... Let's hope Sam is he. -
I'm reasonably satisfied. He's addressed the areas of the squad that we all knew needed attention, and clearly hasn't overspent. That said, we have to see how many of them look good signings once they've settled in. I'll be surprised if they all perform but I've more trust in his judgement than I have in that of the last few managers.
-
I don't know why everyone's dismissing the idea that it really was West Ham who did something that caused Ashley (or Mort, or whoever) to up the price. There's nowt here but speculation. I wonder if even the "family problems" thing, which everyone takes as gospel, wasn't just Allardyce (the only one who's used the term) looking for a public "reason" to sell a player he wanted rid of for other reasons.

I think the assumption that Ashley will behave the same way as Abramovich because they're both billionaires is, well, daft. Apart from both having humungous amounts of loot (though Abramovich has as much as Ashley several times over) and both owning football clubs, there is very little the two men have in common.
