Why don't you build it up? Start off with a pound then put that and the winnings onto the next bet? Soon adds up - 10 consecutive bets is over £1000

Alan Shearer - 260 Sunderland - 214 Fucker.

Warez Marveuax? Warez Haris? Warez Raylor? Warez Amalfitano? But you found room for Obertan

You're missing another defender, unless you intend for Jonas to sit with Tiote?

Betfair is brilliant (aside from the commission)

Aye, it's a cointoss

all sounds good to me

Completely depends on the draw, one of the reasons why the focus is on the league is because you're guaranteed a set amount of games and you know exactly who you're going to play and in what order. Cups are good fun, but you can't plan too much as a manager as you're at the mercy of the draw - imagine if we had cup draw similar to 97/98 and 98/99 under Pards. I'd be confident of another trip to Wembley.

Completely depends on the draw of the cup, if we draw a lower league team at home, then it's a great chance to play the youngsters. If we draw Man United/Chelsea away, then why not play a strong team and chance a win, at least we get an extra game and a bigger name out of the cup.

Don't think you really get 'overworked' as a keeper, just greater exposure to risk of injury by an opposing player. The keepers work harder and perform more activity during training than during a match.

Betting on pre-season friendlies

They could do a big ceremony of him handing the 23 shirt over to Sammi as well. That would be the first time that he has complated a pass to a Newcastle player in 12 years or so. Useless piece of s***.
-
You have no idea what injuries and cup runs could do though. All he is saying is 8th is the lowest we would accept and he wants higher, cant see how you find an issue there tbh. Have to agree with Roger, here. 8th and a cup final appearance/return to Wembley would be a fantastic season. Given that we're going to be playing in Europe for the first time in eons, with a squad that isn't loaded with experience of playing Thurs/Sun for large chunks of the season, we could find ourselves stretched which will cost us points.

When was this? Saw the jokes during the Euros, haven't seen owt else.
-
Not really, D28 has been betting these stakes throughout the past couple of years. Another poster started losing hundreds, possibly 4 figures, during the first week of the Euros and still continued throwing out 3 figure bets...it was a tad unrealistic. As it turns out, he's a semi-pro poker player (online) who infrequently bets on international tournaments.

is this a new sponsorship ploy to help the club get those signings over the line?

Not again. What about it? Humour me. Do you not realise how daft your post makes you come across as? Explain. We're told hundreds of times from the staff at the club how much thought and research goes into our signings, players we've watched for years. We then bid a figure that the club laughs at, and tells us to go away. Fair enough, we move on to other targets. What I can't fathom is why we bother in the first place with all the research, if what we're prepared to pay is so shambolic. Maybe we're just chancing our arms, but why don't we have these things sorted before the transfer window? We seem to waste weeks and months chasing players like this, when we just don't seem to have a chance of getting them at the money we're prepared to pay. We've proven in the past that if the right bargain isn't available, we're prepared to wait - even if it means gambling by having slightly too few players. I sincerely hope they don't take this gamble in the first half of the season, esp. if Cisse gets injured and Ba gets ramadanitis again. No Best to bail them out anymore, of course. Firstly, what does how much we're willing to pay have to do with Douglas saying he wants to stay at Twente for the time being (not that it means much either as he needs to stay for his international aspirations anyway)? I'd also be interested to know why you think this offer we have been rumoured to have made for him is so laughable too. Secondly - Tiote, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Santon, Cisse and you could potentially also add Ba and Marveaux to that list. We got all of those in relatively stress free, what's the problem with the way we work? We look for value, we play hardball. As Dave mentioned, we pay everything up front too which gives us the right to offer less than what we value a player at. Also don't understand why so many people seem so keen for us to open up with a big offer/an asking price?! It's madness; you start low and then go from there. You've pretty much asked why we don't bother researching how much it will cost to get a player to sign for us, I'm fairly certain we do but we try and get them cheaper than that (and why the hell not?) as well as biding our time. Again, what's wrong with that? People need to be patient and appreciate that good work is going on behind the scenes. It's completely stupid for anyone to want to question the way we handle transfers given our success over recent years. bit worrying that 'United for Newcastle' has cropped up on the forum again and one of it's founders is questioning the club's transfer policy...probably one of the few things that most fans agree has been a success... people were tearing their hair out last year saying we hadn't signed enough strikers, there was a big, black cloud hanging over the place until Ba started scoring...

Were Spurs midtable when they bid 25 milion?
