Always think its a bit of a cheap shot when commentators and pundits criticise attendances, when was the last time they paid to go to a game?
2. Unfortunately thats seem to be the opinion of most, hopefully thing will have changed by next year
3. I don't think so, we were about 20 players short when people stopped posting

Serious foul play? Didn't go for the ball and was excessive force, terrible tackle

If Brown had done that tackle in the middle of the pitch he would have got 3 matches for serious foul play. Because it was in front of goal the severity of the tackle is ignored and classed as a professional foul so gets just 1 game. Seems a ridiculous rule.
6. Howay man the space in La Liga is unreal, almost every player from abroad who comes here stresses how little time they get on the ball and with it how little space there is. A quicker league means Messi would have to play at an even quicker tempo and pace. Some of the best players in the game in recent years have struggled at first with the pace and tempo of our league. Regardless, the PL is regarded as the best league in the world and while I personally don't quite subscribe to that, it is surely the toughest and most demanding and would improve the game of any player!? The Premier League may be dominated by the same old same old clubs but games are more often than not very competitive. Would the 8th place side in La Liga beat the champions away from home? Messi for me wouldn't get the number of goals he gets in Spain here, but his game would improve even more which I know sounds ridiculous given just how great his all-round game already is. Anyway I do hope we get to see him in our league some day, although sadly I doubt it will happen. Yes http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25983843

This 03 Arena thing is bollocks too, its the o2 not the zero2 or nil2 arena
8. Yeah I reckon it would be pretty cool, anything to not play in the heat like last year!
9. Just spoke to the club and we are a bit slow it seems, the first Saturday (10th) only has space for 1 team to play. The second Saturday has space for two teams at 9pm but that will be the last game of the event and the pitch will be cut up badly. What are peoples thoughts about Friday 9th at 7pm or 9pm? It would mean playing under the floodlights which costs a few quid more.
10. Names for both teams are drawn out of the hat, first name out is captain for that team. It's then upto each captain and his team as to who plays where Last year the team who used the big dressing room was the away team (Orange) and the home team (Black and White) used the referees changing room.
11. Ok, so no Reds vs Blues game then so we can kick on with this then?
12. Has the Reds v Blues game been discussed at all beyond the initial idea?
13. Just been informed that there has already been talk of a Reds vs Blue game at SJP this year. I dont want to step on anyone's toes here so let me know whats been discussed already.
14. Santoon, it doesn't but we will start losing session options fast meaning playing midweek.
15. Cookie1892 and Rocker, nice one! TaylorJ_01 would you be still able to pay a deposit today/tomorrow? If you cant play I'm sure there will be someone else willing to take your place later in the season
16. I'll be first to respond , Geordie_b plus 4 others 5 players down 25ish more to go
17. ----UPDATE---- Just spoke to the club and the first Saturday (10th) only has space for 1 team to play. The second Saturday has space for two teams at 9pm but that will be the last game of the event and the pitch will be cut up badly. What are peoples thoughts about Friday 9th at 7pm or 9pm? It would mean playing under the floodlights which costs a few quid more. ------------------ Just seen that the club have announced details of this years play at St James' event http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20140205/live-the-dream-at-st-james-park_2281670_3655288 After the great success of last years event I was wondering what peoples thoughts are for this year? If we are doing it then the sooner we get things sorted the better so we can have 2 teams on a weekend session. I'll probably regret saying this but I'm happy to organise things if nobody else wants to. The available dates are Monday 5th of May to Saturday 17th of May. If we wanted a weekend session then that would mean either the 10th or 11th but the later is Liverpool away. Therefore what do people think about Saturday 10th of May? Depending on final numbers the price will likely be around £75-80 each but having played last year it was worth every penny. This year there is a 10% discount for those paying the deposit before 20th February, but I imagine if we leave it much later than this week we will lose the chance of choosing our game session. To get you in the mood here is a slideshow from last year So do you want to play, is Saturday 10th of May good for you and can you pay £20 deposit* in the next few days? Over to you.... * once we have an idea if this is possible ill work out deposit payment options ----------------------- UPDATE - Those interested so far Geordie_b + 4 Cookie1892 Rocker SanToon Ian W BrettNUFC ChrisMcQuillan MKSC
