Then you aren't judging the transfer window properly. The ownership are responsible for the state of it but those who were here and did the business carry the blame too, it can't just be ignored.
-
Wissa is our only flop? Elanga has been awful and we signed Wolt as a forward and we're now playing him in midfield. That's near £200m worth of signings.
-
How much money did we spend? We might not have been in the best position with a sporting director etc but we were where we were and we spent probably the most money we've ever spent in a transfer window in the clubs history. The ownership of the club are responsible for not having the proper structure in place, no one is disputing that, but we still spent a fortune and Howe was at the forefront of it and his signings haven't delivered. We spent nearly 200m on Wolt, Elanga and Wissa alone and how many goals have they scored in 2026?
-
We're losing games because of coaching and tactics, that isn't the owners. We need a new training ground and maybe a new stadium but outside of that the owners supported Howe massively in the transfer window last summer, we spent a fortune.
-
Not sure how much influence he'd have had in previous summers. Ultimately what the fuck do we know anyway about what goes on behind the scenes.
-
You're right they are but I'm saying that whenever we've seen Howe and his team influence transfers we've went and bought players who aren't good enough.
-
I just had a look and he hasn't liked it for me?
-
Completely missed the point I was making.
-
The overriding question is can Howe be trusted on transfers. We had PSR issues under Amanda but there's no doubt her and her team were cooking with their targets. The signings during her time delivered massively and it's no surprise that they're the names being touted as leaving us this summer because we've went backwards.
-
The board is responsible really because they created a situation where Howe and his team had a bigger say on transfers, but ultimately if Howes targeted those players he is responsible for the state the squads in and it's worrying that he can't seem to identify quality players. He did the same at Bournemouth spending big money on players who didn't work out.
-
Who's responsible then?
-
How much is last summer's disaster down to him? That's the one that has set us back massively. Huge money spent on crap.
-
He's been here for four years, is the fact that squad is mid table now not on him too?
-
He's said this about himself before which worries me. It wasn't that long ago and he's already let himself down again.
-
If theyre not they should fuck off and sell the club to someone who cares about the opinion of the supporters.
-
That was like the Pardew days today man. Best team in the world by 2030 my arse, fucking squads a joke. Take the likes of Bruno and Tonali out and it's average as fuck with hundreds of millions spent on it.
-
Disgraceful today tbh. Don't care, we were fucking dog shit. Sick to fuck of this now.
-
Depends, probably is but I still get stabbing pains and I'm not running around. They only last a few seconds so could be that.
-
Id a collapsed lung in January and I still have issues with it. There's no way he'll be 100%. Absolute warrior getting on with it he is.
-
Hate the way Sky take a break whenever we're doing the tifo stuff.
-
He'll destroy his legacy here for loads if he goes to them. He'll still be loved if he leaves for a Real Madrid but id find it hard to love an ex player who left us to play for Man Utd, fuck that.
-
Shocking coverage this. Sunderland TV is right.
-
Bleecker Street Bar.
-
I won't be anywhere near any cunt wearing that.
-
If thats true then Bruno obviously wants away in the summer, which is fair enough if he wants a new challenge but the club has a responsibility as well to not embarrass us by selling him to fucking Man Utd. Both him and Tonalis agent's need to be told that both won't be getting sold either, if one goes the other is going nowhere.
